My two sons and I had a nice stay and great location for lots of walking.

Absolute perfect location for two friends or a small family. We loved the neighborhood and quick walking or transit access to all Barcelona has to offer. We had a small miscommunication on our checkout, but the way the host handled it makes me recommend the space even more. I would absolutely stay again on a return to Barcelona.

Overall the stay was great. We enjoyed how close the apartment was to attractions and local restaurants. Only complaint was we ran out of toilet paper on the last night and the shower light wasn’t functioning. Regardless of the small mishap, we loved the stay and would do it again

Perfect location, close to montjuic for walking and metro nearby gets you straight to park guell one way and camp nou the other. As well as rest of the city.
Frederic welcomed us personally and gave us some tips which we appreciated.
Highly recommend and would come back again.

Lovely apartment, traditional building with character in a quiet neighborhood. Check in with Frederic was super easy. Appartement had everything we needed and would definitely recommend

Great apt

Well equipped apartment in nice area with grocer, butcher and restaurants close by. The owner, Frederic, met us when we arrived to show us all the features of the apartment. Very pleasant stay.

No lift, 37 steps up to apartment. Manager told us: “don’t drink the water, it will make you sick”.
Not a good neighborhood for us. We found more restaurants operated by Bangladeshis than Spaniards.

Great traditional apartment in a residential area. Fantastic location, within easy access for metro, bus and funicular railway, to enable you to see the rest of the city. Within walking distance of many local bars and restaurants.

Pros:1.5 blocks to Metro Poble Sec, 3 to Plaça Espana, 5 min walk to best local tapas bars on Carrer de Blai. 5 min taxi ride from Port Vell Cruise ship Terminal. €6.75 bus shuttle to airport from Plaça Espanya-unbeatable deal. Taxis can run up to €40! Frederic let us in very early at 9am, just 1 hr after getting off the cruise ship. We waited happily at the neighborhood cafe, chatted with locals, drank delicious coffee and ate a breakfast tostada with Iberico jamon! Checkin was fast and easy! Decor is classic renaissance meets modern minimalist. Nice clean big glass shower! Water pressure strong! Great washing machine! Great fridge/freezer and kitchen. Free wi-fi! Strong cold AC!! Our friends got off the cruise ship late and waited 1hr in a long hot line for taxis. Their hosts were not fast replying and then denied early entry. They couldn't get into their VRBOs for more than 6 hours after arriving! Our Frederic was the best! 💕Even though our unit was 2 BR for just me and my son, we were able to emergency shelter 4 friends+7 kids+3 grandparents + luggage until their VRBO's opened at 3 pm! We had enough room to host/seat everyone! After they left, it felt like an empty palace! Cons: Loud construction on the building next door. 4 mini flights of narrow marble steps 30+: great for cardio, bad for our friends big luggage.
(It was my 5th trip to Europe, 2nd to Spain so I knew to pack light!)
Thank you Frederic! We had a great time!!!

Frederic the property owner was very friendly and easy to reach.
Things to know and concern about the apartment:
1. Located in Poble Sec, a residential neighbourhood, very close to a metro station, and about a 20 minute walk to La Rambla
2. Kitchen is well appointed, we cooked breakfast everyday to startout our day, a grocery store is nearby.
3. There is 1 bathroom which can only be accessed through one of the bedrooms. We travelled as a family and made it work but this may not work for other travellers.
4. The bathroom had an old bar of soap to wash your hands which was kinda gross. Small suggestion would be to provide liquid soap instead.
4. The bedroom with the bathroom access had nowhere to hang/ fold our clothes. There was only small night table with drawers. We lived out of our suitcases
5. The 2nd bedroom was small and only suitable for 1 person to sleep. It did have a small closet space for clothes.
6. The air conditioning units worked very well.

We had a great stay. The apartment had everything we required, was conveniently located close to the metro, close to restaurants, and has two mini grocery stores across the street. Everything was clean, having laundry was convenient, and we always felt safe.
Frederic was extremely responsive and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed!

My nephew, daughter and I enjoyed our stay in this flat in Barcelona. It was spacious and the three of us were very comfortable. It is very conveniently located and there were lots of food options nearby. We will definitely stay here again!

The location was great and right next to the metro and the vrbo was bigger than we expected!

Frederic was great. There were a few provisions in the kitchen that made cooking easy.

We loved the neighborhood where this apartment is located. So close to Montjuic Park and all the wonderful museums and gardens there. Just a short block to the metro. A wonderful vegetable and fruit shop right across the street, grocery store around the corner, bakery too, little plaza with cafes can be seen from the apartment balcony. Be prepared for some stairs. The kitchen had everything we needed to make most of our own meals. It was great to have a washing machine for clothes since we stayed several weeks. A clothesline was located out the back window as there is no clothes dryer. We had no trouble using the clothesline. We loved the tiny balcony to sit and have our coffee and watch the neighborhood activity. The apartment was amazingly quiet at night even though the neighborhood is very active during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were very lucky to stay a bit longer (5 days) in Barcelona this trip. The apartment was really lovely and quite a bit larger than I expected. The lounge, dinning room (with lots of seating) and open kitchen were perfect. With beautiful windows with Juliette balconies overlooking the street. The bedroom at the back of the apartment was very nice, very quiet, overlooking the backyards of the apartments.
The owner, Frederic, met us and was very kind to help us up the stairs with all our luggage. I had hurt my knee just before traveling, and so the stairs was quite a challenge for me.
It was so nice to be back in Barcelona, and nice to take the extra time to see some sites that we had never seen before. Thank you so much for your hospitality Frederic. We would definitely stay again, if we have the opportunity.

The flat is in a comfortable neighborhood with all necessary amenities such as 24h supermarket, restaurants, taparias (check Carrer de Blai).
2min walk from Plaça de Enpanya, 20/25min walk from Port Vell, likewise to Plaça de Catalunya or Barrì Gotic.
Comfortable interiors, nice and spacious bathroom/shower.
The neighborhood got noisy on Saturday night during am hours (2am to 4am) because of music and people screaming loud down in the street, but probably it's been an unlucky random happening for us.
Overall, convenient place to be.

Lovely apartment with charm, very modern kitchen and bath and a three minute walk to metro. Our family loved feeling like we lived in Barcelona with a supermarket around the corner and a great playground 2 blocks away. Perfect space for a family with a couple of school aged children as the kids room has a trundle. Great restaurants (Taverna con Margarit, Cafe Manso, lots of pincho places on Carrer de Blai) as well as a well appointed kitchen if you wish to cook. Two flight walk up was no problem for us. Quiet in the evenings. Five minute walk to the Magic Fountain and art museum. Washing machine for clothes a huge plus. Looking forward to staying there again on our next trip to Barcelona!

Great place, great Location !!!
Séjour d'une semaine début novembre 2019,
2 adultes

A Good Centre
Excellent location for metro access to the Ramblas area.
Interesting neighbourhood including a pedestrian food area.
Property is well maintained and only up a couple of flights.
Well equipped and comfortable.
We would stay here again.

Great little place in a really cool neighborhood. Conveniently located near markets, cafes, & metro but the neighborhood was pretty active at all hours. It didn’t bother us as much but may be difficult for some. Overall we loved our stay in Barcelona.

On the good side: It was a roomy apartment with all of the pots, pans, and other things that travelers need. Air conditioning functioned well. Also, when we arrived the WiFi was not working and Frederic took care of it immediately. He had a new router installed that day. He was very nice about it. Also, there is a Metro stop nearby which was very convenient for getting around the city.
On the not so good side: there were almost no supplies other than salt and cooking oil. For three sinks there was only one hand soap. There was no soap for the clothes washer. We had to immediately go shopping for coffee, coffee filters, drinking water (Frederic let us know that the tap water is not potable, apparently that is the case in much of Barcelona) and other supplies. We didn’t expect food for four days, but a little something to start us off would have been nice. The street noise coming into the apartment was very loud though you could keep the air conditioning on and the windows closed to deal with that.
Overall, it was nice enough and served our needs but is not a deluxe rental.

Larger apartment in a great community
Communication with the owner was great. The apartment was older and suited our family well. It had adequate space for our family of 5 and had a few features that made it stand out on our vacation. The large front windows open onto a small deck which overlooks a charming residential street. The neighborhood includes a butcher, baker, and vegetable stands, making food preparation easy. There are a bunch of local restaurants within a short walk and the metro is nearby. This is the perfect apartment for people who want to feel part of a community and don't mind the staying in an older building, with all of its quirks and charm. It suited our family perfectly.

Nice flat in Barcelona
This is a great flat in the Poble Sec neighbourhood of Barcelona. It is perfect for a couple or a family with kids. This flat would not work well as well for two couples travelling together since the only bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. The flat is conveniently located close to fruit markets, grocery stores and restaurants, but it is a quiet location, so there are no problems sleeping at night. Our host Frederic met us at the flat and explained everything to us. He was very helpful and made sure we had his number in case there was anything else we might need, or if any other questions came up. The flat was well equipped and our only issue was the low temperature of the water when taking a shower. We found it a bit cool, but in warmer weather this might not be an issue. We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona and we will definitely return.

The apartment is comfortable and conveniently located. It has all the necessary modern conveniences for a pleasant stay. There's a supermarket right around the corner and the Poble Sec Metro station is very near. The apartment is also about a 10-minute walk from the National Museum of Art and the spectacular Montjuic fountains. We found it to be a fine home base for our three-day visit to beautiful Barcelona.

Good location
Some pros and cons with this apartment:
The pros: fantastic location, quick response from Marion, walkable to many regions of the city, great eating options nearby, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, nice balcony etc.
Cons: While the listing does say one bathroom, it does NOT say that it is only accessed through the principal bedroom. Those in the second bedroom and on the pullout using the bathroom in the middle of the night have to come into the main bedroom and go by the bed. If the website had made that clear, Iikely wouldn't have rented it. Other more minor issues were having to contact the owner to access the locked wardrobe closet to get clean towels as the ones left were dirty. A light was burnt out in the bathroom making it a little dark to get ready, couldn't figure out how to turn on the heated towel bar and lastly, we had to use the hand wand portion of the shower as the top shower head sprayed all over the bathroom. Not major issues but enough to look elsewhere if we went back to Barcelona.

Great stay with family
Well located. Premises clean and tidy. Kitchen fully equipped with large fridge, dishwasher. Washing machine in apartment. 2 bedrooms. 3 minute walk to Metro

Disappointed
the Pros: excellent communication and check in, close to metro and good grocery options, overall size
the Cons: noisy, lacking in some amenities (eg bottle opener, Nespresso type machine) bed was small and has to be pushed against a wall so you have to climb over your partner in the middle of the night, it seems like it needs a bit of an upgrade
I would not recommend it because I would not go back
