The most amazing thing about the property was the location. It was steps to a natural swimming pool
that was dependent on the tide. There were beautiful views & a bar with snacks right there. We were able to walk to an island nearby where Chateaubriand. a 19th century romantic French port was buried. There were lots of restaurants nearby & the hotel operated one right across the street. The staff was helpful & welcoming , & although it was a busy area, it quieted down at night. We loved St. Malo & the charm & available restaurants in the walled city. We loved the restaurant right nearby. Unfortunately, I can remember the name- started with Cantine & was something to do with dogs(chiens) & was to the right of the hotel as you left it & the one closest to the water before the stairs to the water.(Rue du Guet).

Breakfast v good. Location great.
Stairs! 3 flights, steep, good job we had only small bags. Booking information should include advice about parking! Arriving Saturday afternoon we had to park over a mile from the hotel.

The view from our room was fabulous, overlooking the city walls and beach. Great location for exploring. Comfy beds. Very friendly staff.
Steep, narrow stairs. Very low ceilings. Shower needs improvement.
