Exceptional place to stay. I cannot envision a more comfortable/beautiful place to stay. The staff here went above and beyond to ensure both my wife and I had the best wedding weekend ever. Special shoutout to both Jill and Ruben at the front desk and the two gentlemen from the coffee bar. We will continue to come back here forever. Thank you.

I think the MX is going to be fabulous in a year, but right now they have a lot of work to do. I had to move rooms because the AC couldn’t get the temps below 78. The room was freshly renovated, but not completely so (open outlets with no covers, incomplete amenities). The layout of the rooms was quirky, with light controls in odd places and no drawers for unpacking. The furniture was beautiful - but not comfortable at all. And there’s no phone in the room, so the only way to contact someone is to go to their website for a reservations number or hike down to the desk. The floor layout is a warren of hallways - they need more signage to direct you to your room or back to the elevator. But - the lobby, bar and coffee stations were glorious with ample seating and lots of windows to look out and people watch. You’re close to restaurants and bars for eating at all times of the day. And the staff were absolutely fabulous, from the valet stewards to the front desk. Give them a year, and they’re going to be THE spot in downtown Colorado Springs to stay.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying there. It wasn’t like the normal hotels around, it was really classy which was so nice. It has been fully renovated with in the year with high class fitting and furniture. My kind of hotel.

I have stayed here several times and I love the new look. Excellent customer service from every staff member we interacted with.
We will definitely be back once everything is done. Looking forward to the restaurant opening!

This hotel is really cool! Loved the decor. It’s not quite done being renovated but that didn’t bother me. I’ll be back to see the finished result!

Zero privacy shower and no real bathroom mirror. The location was good and the staff very helpful and pleasant. A simple frosted glass panel between sink and room would make the stay more comfortable!

Yes the hotel is under construction, but it’s fabulous! The rooms are so beautiful and quiet. The areas completed are so nice. Everyone was kind and welcoming. We loved it so much we’re planning a trip to go back when it’s finished just to see everything. Don’t think twice. Just book it.

It was not disclosed that the majority of the hotel was under construction. I paid over $200 to ride in a torn apart elevator and not able to use the bar on the hotel as it was advertised online. Very disappointing

This hotel is going to be beautiful when it is completed. The attention to detail in the rooms was incredible - the scribing of the molding to the brick was impressive, as was the way in which the molding was created to accommodate the curtains. The bathroom is incredible, especially the shower.
I did not mind staying in a place undergoing renovations because it was interesting to see the development of this property.
The staff was attentive and super helpful. They provided us detailed information about where to go to get a good bite to eat at 9 pm on a Tuesday night, and gave us a bit of background, along with advice of where to go for an interesting after-dinner drink that was truly special. Kudos to the night staff.

Beautiful building and rooms!

For what they’re trying to be, they have a long way to go. No room service. The toilet seat had to be held up by hand, otherwise it would fall back into place and get peed on. The sink didn’t drain properly. My wife went for a massage to relax on her vacation, and the lady giving the massage decided to bring politics up and mentioned the “plandemic” more than once.

Great Hotel, they were doing some light remodeling, but made accommodations to improve our stay. We’ve been coming here a long time, and will be back again!

This hotel is very nice, especially for the price. We really enjoyed the creole restaurant and all the history.

Loved the Mining Exchange - such a cool hotel. It is in the middle of a renovation and things are a little discombobulated but the new interiors are gorgeous!!! The rooms need lights that have a USB port for charging phones and coffee/tea service in the room but other than that I loved it.

We were greeted be very courteous staff. The lobby is beautiful, plenty of places to sit and visit. You can see the original vault which is amazing. We saw smaller vaults in the stairwell and the housekeeping storage was a vault as well. Our room was nice and comfortable. There is some updates going on by the elevators and they are adding a barista and bar in the lobby. We will definitely return. Plenty of places to grab a meal from breakfast to dinner. We recommend King Chef diner, Red Gravy, and Jack Quinn’s to name a few.

It was a very lovely and unique property. The gentleman who checked us in (I believe his name was Bryce?) was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived a couple hours before check-in time but he was able to get a room for us within about 30 minutes. He was also helpful with advice on parking near the hotel and other amenities around the property. Room was nice & clean and we really enjoyed our stay.

Historic building tastefully renovated, complete with the old safes still in place. The front desk attendant was charming and welcomed us with a bit of history on the building. Currently still undergoing renovations, looking forward to visiting again once renovations are completed.

Very Nice Property. Undergoing upgraded renovations… which did not interfere with our stay. This Hotel rocks…definitely will return

Great customer service. Jill was absolutely the friendliest and made us feel very welcome.

Our room was located right next to the remodeling/renovation work which was fine initially the night we arrived. The workers began working early the next morning loudly with power tools and hammering before 8am on a Sunday. This as very frustrating and did not feel like the comfort of guests was taken into consideration when filling this room.

Beautiful property if it wasn’t for construction on the inside. Made the stay not as good, dusty, dirty
with construction workers in the property. I would have stayed somewhere else if I knew that was gonna be in construction inside the property.

Great hotel convenient to all things Colorado Springs. I rated the condition a little lower because we went in the middle of their renovations.
