Alemannenhof - Boutique Hotel am Titisee

We absolutely loved our stay! We traveled with our Labrador and stayed in Room 105, which I can highly recommend. The balcony offers breathtaking views, with Lake Titisee on one side and a charming little castle-like building on the other. Waking up to such beautiful scenery was truly special! The breakfast was fantastic, with an incredible variety of choices and outstanding service. The hotel also offers wonderful amenities, including a sauna and swimming pool, although we didn’t have time to enjoy them all. One thing I highly recommend is visiting the hotel’s beach — it’s definitely worth it! The room was spotlessly clean, and the front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. What made our stay even more special was how dog-friendly the hotel is. Our Labrador was welcome everywhere, including the breakfast area, which made us feel genuinely welcome as a family traveling with our dog. The location is also fantastic. Badeparadies is just a few minutes away, and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning, with beautiful hiking trails and plenty of great restaurants. We decided to eat out rather than dine at the hotel, as we found the restaurant prices a little steep. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the pillows, which became quite flat and hard when lying on them. However, this was such a minor issue that it certainly didn’t take away from our wonderful experience. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would happily come back! If you’re looking for a beautiful place to relax, explore the stunning surroundings, and enjoy a holiday with your four-legged friend, this hotel is definitely worth considering. Highly recommended!

Room was a bit dated but comfortable. Could have used a fan during the day as it was hot but cooled down at night.

The waiter at the restaurant was not the nicest. The rest of the staff was great. Also…we were on the 3rd floor and didn’t realize that there were not elevators. It was a job to haul 3x 50 lb bags up the stairs.

Breakfast was good and room was okay

There was confusion on how to get to the hotel from the nearest train station and what was offered by the hotel in terms of transport. We didn't drive to the hotel, which is about 20 minutes away on foot from the train station, and 5 minutes with bus, but there's only one bus per hour. It says on their website that they offer a free shuttle bus from the train station. Therefore, I messaged them and asked about a possible pick up and they said they could arrange a taxi for us. So I guessed it was not for free and we decided to walk. After we arrived at the hotel, we asked about the pickup and the front desk said they would cover for the cost of a taxi if we had ordered it. The next day at check-out we asked about the shuttle to go back to the train station and the person at the front desk said they don't offer a shuttle but could call a taxi for us. However, they would not cover the taxi fee, which we found very confusing. They offer free shuttles according to their website but in reality we have to walk or pay for our own taxi! At the end, the person at the front desk gave us bus tickets that allowed us to travel within the region for free during our stay but the guy on the first day didn't even mention that, which was frustrating. Another issue was the view from the studio apartment. We booked the large studio for the panorama terrace/balcony to the lake, but the view from the terrace was obstructed because there was another balcony next to us that blocked most of the view. Furthermore, I knew our studio would be located in another building, but it turned out to be 400 meter away and uphill which takes about 7 minutes to walk up.
