Room was dingy, lamp shades had holes, bathroom drain rusted out. The worst part was the scary stains that looked like blood and sweat stains through mattress pad and the mattress itself. Ended up leaving right after I walked in and booking another hotel and still a week later can’t get management to respond.

Check in was difficult. The customer service number to call after hours was staffed by someone who was very difficult to understand. The code took a half hour and two phone calls to get to my email. The room was shabby. Lamp shades were torn, the bathroom was in disrepair.

Hotel Hi Ho is a nice old-style hotel/motor lodge with small rooms with a bed, TV, bathroom, chair and coffee maker. The only gripe I had with our room at all was the heater/air conditioner needed a new fan shroud as whenever it turned on a loud distracting metallic rattling noise overpowered the TV or woke me from sleep. And this was like every five minutes or so. I didn't want to turn the unit off as I was worried about being cold since it wasn't super warm when I was staying there. As this hotel doesn't have a staff -- all of the check in and check out is automated -- there isn't much to say about the place otherwise. The restaurant downstairs is very nice and has a good set of happy hour specials.

Adequate for the price we paid. However, 2 queen beds and just 2 nespresso pods for 3 days was weird. Lucky we found a housekeeper on day 3 to give us coffee, as there is nothing near this hotel to get coffee. No front desk and self checkin was more like a vrbo or airbnb than "an upscale boutique hotel" as described. No place to put luggage, small tight space.

No staff after 9pm. Nonworking room phone. Dirty tissues on floor of room. Maid banging on door at 8.30 in the morning then proceeding to open the door even though we told her repeatedly to come back later.

Heater was so loud I had to leave it off, windows are leaky and sounds from the highway are loud, lame attempt at “boutique” vibe with cringe worthy art I wouldn’t stay again at $30 a night

Very helpful staff member when we needed to change rooms. Very clean and comfortable. The room numbers could be bigger to see from the parking lot. More light on the key pads would help at night.

Hotel is very nice, conveniently located for our liking. Has a very nice yet busy restaurant at the hotel which can make parking very difficult at times. Especially on a Friday or Saturday evening.

I've stayed at this boutique hotel many times and has always been a consistent pleasure. The Barcelona Restaurant that anchors this hotel is a must for great tapas and great vibe.The cleaning staff is friendly and accommodating. Check in is via email. A code is sent to you after pre check in. Works just fine. Any issues a phone number is given to call and they are very responsive. Property is convenient to the Merritt Parkway.

Decent motel. Very convenient easy to get to from Merrit Pkwy. The restaurant/wine bar down stairs was very nice. The fact there isn't a front office didn't really affect our 1 night stay, but I can see how fir others it may be an issue. Especially if there are any problems witg your room. Room was clean simple and comfortable. Only criticism there is furniture like desk and dresser are very warn so was toilet seat. So would recommend a little sprucing up. Overall I would stay there again.

Hair everywhere, mold on bathroom ceiling badly touched up paint. at least one pillow cover was not replaced No personal on the location, check in is over the phone.

The cleaning service knocked on our door starting at 8:30 to clean. We keep asking to come back but 15 mins later knocked again. Not sure of the check out policy got was surprised how persistent they were

The online check in process is a nightmare if you arrive after hours as no employees are there. And if the fire alarm goes off at 2 am, you have to endure permanent hearing loss until the fire department arrives as there’s NOBODY on site to disable it. Sprinkle in a housekeeping knock on the door 2 hours before checkout time and you have a solid 1/5 star experience

Not our first stay here but if you do end up on the lower level same side as the restaurant entrance it will be noisy with people walking by. Unfortunately on our night there were intoxicated people, a fight in the parking lot and ultimately an ambulance, police and fire truck. More security is needed in the absence of a front desk (which I do like not having normally).

It was first time I made reservation, in this Motel. Everything was ok, beside motor noise 24/7 what was coming from the restaurant below... Some kind of generator was making so loud sound that I wasn't able to get slipping first night... Please, turn this motor off, find something quite and more efficient, for the restaurant below! Respect your motel quests!

Location and price are good. Very thin bedding, office closed, extremely limited parking, limited TV. The onsite restaurant is world class, apparently not affiliated with the hotel, impossible to get into without 1.5 hour wait.
