The main living area brings everyone together beneath two-story cathedral ceilings, with natural light and a stone fireplace that runs on propane. Settle in for slow mornings, conversation after dinner, or a cozy evening by the fire.

The kitchen is stocked for cooking together, with cookware, bakeware, a KitchenAid mixer, Vitamix blender, and waffle iron. From a full breakfast before a hike to dinner back at the cabin, you’ll have the tools to make yourself at home.



🎬 Play

Head downstairs to the theater room for a movie on the 70-inch HD TV or a relaxed game night. It’s an inviting spot to wind down after exploring, with a variety of games for a little friendly competition.



Smart TVs let you sign into your own streaming accounts, so you can pick up a favorite series or choose something everyone will enjoy.



🛏️ Rest

The cabin sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two queen bedrooms share a full bathroom on the main floor, while the upstairs primary suite has a full bathroom of its own. The living and recreation spaces extend across three levels, giving your group room to spend time together and settle into separate activities.



If you need to work during your stay, the upstairs loft has a dedicated workspace. Wi-Fi speeds of around 400–550 Mbps support video calls, streaming, and staying connected between outings.

Start the day with coffee on the screened porch or stretch out in the hammock with a book. The private hot tub is open year-round, offering a relaxing finish to a day of hiking or exploring wine country.



Cook outdoors on the propane grill, then gather around the built-in wood-burning stone fireplace. Propane for the grill and firewood for the outdoor fireplace are provided, making it easy to enjoy an evening at the cabin.

Skyline Drive and Front Royal are about 15 minutes away, putting scenic drives, hiking, dining, and shopping within easy reach. Nearby wineries offer another way to spend the afternoon before returning to your own quiet corner of Apple Mountain.



Guest access



The entire cabin is yours across all three levels, including the screened porch, the hot tub, and the yard. Several storage closets and the garage stay locked and are not part of the rental. Self check-in with a smart lock, so you can arrive on your own schedule.

We’re typically available by text and happy to answer questions before or during your stay. We take a hands-off approach so you can enjoy your privacy, but we’re responsive and glad to help if anything comes up.



The neighborhood



Delicious Cabin sits on Apple Mountain, a community of full-time residents, vacation home owners, and short-term rentals. As you make your way to the property, you’ll venture on Granny Smith Road, Wealthy Road, Jonathan Road, and other streets that draw their names from apple orchard and grocery store selections circa 1975.



Getting around



A vehicle is needed for getting around the neighborhood and reaching nearby attractions, restaurants, and wineries. Front Royal is 10 to 15 minutes away, and the driveway holds three vehicles.

🚗 Vehicle Access & Parking



The property is reached on well-maintained paved roads. Standard 2WD is fine most of the year; during snow or ice, AWD or 4WD is recommended and occasionally required, and we’ll share access guidance ahead of any winter storm. The driveway accommodates up to three vehicles.



📶 Connectivity



High-speed WiFi, around 400 to 550 Mbps, supports streaming, remote work, and video calls. Cell service can be limited in the mountains, but WiFi calling keeps you connected. The home is equipped with smart TVs, and while standard cable is not available, guests are welcome to log into their own streaming accounts.



📷 Smart Home Technology



For security, motion-activated Ring doorbells at the front and side-deck entrances and a separate exterior camera monitor the driveway, deck, and backyard. No camera views the hot tub or any part of the interior.



🐕 Pet Policy



Up to two dogs are welcome per stay. Our pet fee is $75 per pet and is automatically added to your reservation total when pets are included in your search. Additional dogs may be considered case by case. Service animals are always welcome, and we appreciate advance notice so we can notify our cleaning team. In Virginia, emotional support animals are treated as pets and subject to the same policies and fees.

A washer and dryer are available for guest use, with detergent provided.

All bedding, linens, and quilts are freshly laundered between stays. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed throughout, with fire extinguishers on each level, plus flashlights and lanterns for the rare mountain power outage.

Delicious Cabin is surrounded by nature, and it is common to see deer, rabbits, foxes, wild turkeys, and the occasional black bear. Please avoid leaving food, trash, or scented items outdoors, as these attract wildlife. While the home is serviced by a professional pest control company, occasional insects may make their way inside. Let us know if anything seems out of the ordinary.



🏡 Privacy



While the setting feels spacious and peaceful, this is still a residential community, so we ask guests to be considerate of our neighbors, particularly when enjoying the porch and fire pit in the evening.



🧹 Property Care & Updates



We continually improve Delicious Cabin to enhance guest comfort, so furniture or décor may differ slightly from photos. During your stay, our landscaping, pest control, or hot tub care team may service the property as needed, and we will notify you in advance whenever possible. These visits are brief, exterior only, and do not require access inside the home.
