Very nice hotel in a great location on the beach. Indoor and outdoor pool were warm. Reception, happy hour, and food options were very good!

I was attempting to check in at the start of what I was told was a corporate-wide system blackout. Ultimately, it took over a half hour to check in rather than a standard 5 minutes. I requested complimentary parking as a small recognition for the lost time to my trip as I stood waiting to check in but the manager did not grant this request. ($20 ish dollars for self-park). The staff was kind and professional throughout but as a result, I lost about a half hour of my ~19 hour vacation and the hotel did not feel obligated to make a gesture of recognition. Aside from check-in my stay was great but the first impression left an indelible impression. My wife, while waiting to be able to park the car, had to pull out of the way and read a book in the car while waiting. At least she was somewhat productive.

The hotel is in amazing condition. The only issue we had was related to another guest. The guest reported our dog barking in the room however our dog was on the beach with us enjoying the sunset. When I presented the manager with timestamped photos she said she would take care of the other guest.

Rooms exceptionally clean!! Large rooms. Soap and lotions delicious. Enough towels and wash clothes. Unfortunately had a screaming baby in the room next door that cried constantly! And I mean at all hours night and day. So was not able to sit in living room area at all!!! Resort fees were deducted and I appreciated those being deducted however I dont understand why you have resort fees in the winter months ! I thought the fee for valet parking was too high. Was not able to enjoy any meals in the restaurant however the offer of free breakfasts nice!!!! The shuttle bus to The Cavalier was sensational and the drivers wonderful ( especially extra driver helping out on New Years Eve who was young and huge and muscular so could help
Me out of the shuttle since I have knee problems).

My husband and I needed a long weekend and VA beach is always our choice. This was our first time staying at Embassy Suites Oceanfront, and we were pleasantly surprised! A brand-new hotel on the best side of the beach with an extra clean room, and the tasty buffet breakfast and good reception drinks are included in the costs. If you take a winter getaway, be sure to take a bathing suit to enjoy the heated indoor pool. Outside has plenty of year-round chairs and even a fire-pit. This property is included in the Cavalier resort offerings of upscale restaurants and even a distillery tour!We have already planned our 7-night summer stay at this property! This is our new spot at VA beach!

Our AC vent was VERY loud. I did call the desk and they offered to send engineering up but with a dog, 2yo, and 2 tired adults in bed already, we declined and just turned the AC off. The water pressure was also very light. Prefer a more robust shower experience. Overall EXCELLENT hotel and beautiful accommodations.

We had a great experience. Two lazy relaxing nights in a beautiful room on the oceanfront with balcony and room service, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to stay again next year. My only suggestion, specifically for the Fall/ Winter months when T&T is closed down and no one is getting in the pool, the music played at the pool / fire pit can be a little loud for the oceanfront rooms above and it’s right up to 11pm, it was a little distracting, even with window closed. Maybe an earlier cut off during Fall/Winter months or slight volume adjustment. Otherwise we had an incredible time.

We were extremely unhappy with the pet policies of this particular Embassy Suites. As Hilton Honors members, we frequently stay at these properties and have NEVER heard of the types of rules they had for pets.
In addition, we were told that pets could not go on the beach around the hotel. The Virginia Beach's City Ordinance says otherwise.

No housekeeping during my stay. This was not discussed at check-in so very surprising to come back to find the bed not made, the trash not emptied, and the wet towels still piled in the shower. I expected a lot more for an above average property like this one. Not impressed.

The description of the room was wrong it doesn't mention that the room has only partial view of the ocean! for the price we paid I would expect transparency.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to assist whenever needed. The breakfast offerings were top notch. However, I would suggest offering meat alternatives, such as, turkey or chicken sausage for those of us that do not eat pork.

Our family liked that there was a great variety of choices for breakfast such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, muffins, sliced bread. It was always busy at the made-to-order omelette station which is understandable. However, there was this one particular morning where the chef (they have different staff at the omelette station each morning) made very delicious omelette. All my family members agree that theirs were also tasty and he was also cheerful and very organized.
What we didn't like is that the dispenser for the waffle mix keeps breaking down and the half-and-half creamer seems always empty.

Overall, the stay was very good. My only complaint was the view from my room/balcony which looked out to the multiple HVAC units. When I expressed my concern to the front desk I was told that this was a general complaint and there was nothing that could be done. For the cost of the night, the hotel should be ashamed of themselves for charging the rate it did. When I sent a formal complaint, the front desk manager’s response was “Unfortunately, due to the reservation being booked through a 3rd party, these rooms will be on the low floors. The room is a partial ocean view and no compensation is to be given as it is the correct room you have booked.” Um, what?
My advice is to book directly with the hotel if you want an unobstructed view, otherwise, book through Expedia and collect your points at least. I didn’t find there was much difference in price between the 2 options so I can’t even say that you get what you pay for. Just be sure to take their “partial ocean view” very literal.

The Embassy Suites made our vacation amazing and more enjoyable than we expected. The area around the resort is clean, quiet, and lovely. The staff are professional and accommodating. Our room was clean, fresh, and well maintained.
We ate at several of the on site restaurants and each were excellent.

Everything is new and in excellent condition. Superb dining options at the resort, so no need to go searching. If you stay at the resort, parking is included in the Marriot parking garage across the way. Well built hotel with an ocean view for just about every room. Only complaint is the mattress could be better as it is not very comfortable.

I reserved a king bed ocean front view. However during my checkin I was told that the hotel over booked the ocean front rooms so they put me in a room looking at the street. I was so disappointed because it was my wife and I anniversary and we always get an ocean front view when we stay at a oceanfront hotel. The hotel did give me a credit of $300. However I would have paid $300 more in order to get what I was expecting. Next time I will take the time to call ahead before traveling out there to make sure the correct room is reserved for us.
