About this apartment rental

The residence, located on the mezzanine level of Palazzo Sambiasi—which once served as the family chapel—covers approximately 80 square meters in a single open-plan space.
The structure is characterized by massive perimeter walls of Lecce tuff, interspersed with columns of the same material and surmounted by four splendid star-vaults made of carparo stone; the color nuances, ranging from straw-white to reddish-brown, are truly admirable.
The window arches and their supporting lintels, also made of Lecce stone, are of the “exposed” type and unequivocally attest to the building’s 16th-century origins.
A unique and distinctive feature is the presence of three asymmetrical arches that divide the structure into two interconnected spaces.
The first is the entryway-living room with dual access from Via Marco Basseo and the building’s main entrance hall. This first space is situated beneath two asymmetrical star-vaulted ceilings and, given its large size, is designed to also host cultural events.
Behind the three arches and beneath an entire star-shaped vault, you’ll find a comfortable master bedroom and a bright bathroom featuring a window overlooking the building’s entrance hall and characterized by Murgese marble tiles in a myriad of shades.
Other notable features include the large and spacious shower stall (120 cm x 95 cm) and the built-in cabinet crafted from an antique fireplace.
The floor is made of pure white, high-quality Trani marble.
The apartment features a kitchenette with a refrigerator, induction cooktop, and sink, and is equipped with high-quality cookware and tableware.
Upon request, the double bed can be separated into two single beds, and two additional single beds can also be requested.
The vacation home is equipped with two powerful floor-mounted convection heaters to ensure the most comfortable climate control.
The original furnishings date back to the 19th century. The current owner has decorated the rooms with prints of famous jazz musicians that harmoniously complement contemporary sculptures created by the most talented and sought-after local artists.

My husband and I were fortunate to spend time in this fabulous apartment in Lecce. Right in the center of Lecce old city, the apartment is in a great location. It's an easy walk to Piazza del Duomo, the Basilica di Santa Croce and other historic sites, and many great restaurants. The apartment is beautifully furnished and equipped, with a comfortable bed, a great shower and special treats. Beyond that, Laura is a fabulous host. She went above and beyond to assist and care for us. Our only regret is that our stay in Lecce and this apartment was too short. This is a terrific place. I highly recommend it.

I can’t say enough about this property. Laura and Nino are perfect hosts. Laura was with us every step of the way and the apartment was superb in both amenities and location. Do not pass this up, we couldn’t recommend it more!!

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Lecce! My recent stay at this charming property was nothing short of amazing. Nestled in the heart of Lecce, this palace apartment provided the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort, and was gorgeously decorated. The location was unbeatable; it’s close (but not too close) to the Duomo, restaurants, and a really fun bar. It’s also a convenient walk to the train station. The photos accurately depict the entire rental—I initially thought the living area was a shared space until I arrived. The whole apartment is just for you, which makes it an incredible value. I booked the property for 12 nights to use as a home base to explore the area, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the high-quality linens and antiques to the well-stocked kitchen, ensuring that all our needs were met. A beautiful assortment of pastries, espresso, and a moka pot were provided for us to enjoy for breakfast. The owners were incredibly gracious and attentive, making us feel like part of their family. Their hospitality truly made our experience so memorable, and we felt welcomed and well taken care of for our entire stay! They are the best and added an extra special and unique Italian aspect to our stay. Overall, this property far exceeded all my expectations and made our trip to Lecce unforgettable. I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxuriou
