A warm welcome to the Saumerhof in Schladming (Mandling district) in the Schladming-Dachstein vacation region.
Our organic farm is not only a home for you, but also for many different animals.
The Schladming-Dachstein region has plenty to offer in both summer and winter, so our rustic-style self-catering apartments are the ideal accommodations for you.
Surrounding the Saumerhof, the Schladming-Dachstein region features 1,000 km of hiking trails of all difficulty levels—from gentle walks to via ferrata routes. But there’s more to explore than just hikes and countless mountain peaks. As a Summer Card partner, you can enjoy the countless offers and discounts included in the card. You’ll find a welcome refreshment after an eventful summer day in one of the many mountain lakes or at the nearby recreational lake in Pichl.
A winter vacation in Schladming-Dachstein means you’re right in the heart of Austria’s largest ski area, Ski amade. The Reiteralm ski area is less than a 5-minute drive from our apartments. A variety of slopes for every skill level and traditional mountain huts where you can stop for a break await you on the mountain. The route then continues over the Hochwurzen and Planai all the way to the Hauser Kaibling.
Beautiful walks through picturesque snow-covered landscapes lead to rustic alpine huts where you’ll be treated to warm Styrian hospitality—even beyond the 4-Mountain Ski Area, there’s plenty to explore in the Schladming-Dachstein region.
On your marks, get set, go! Sledding is definitely a fun and varied alternative sport. Fun and action for the whole family are guaranteed. On the Hochwurzen, about a 15-minute drive from the Saumerhof, there’s a 7-kilometer-long natural toboggan run that’s open day and night during the winter. To perfectly round out the family outing, enjoy Austrian specialties like “Ripperl,” “Kasnocken,” or the delicious Kaiserschmarrn at one of the rustic mountain huts.
Our region—and especially the town of Ramsau am Dachstein, just 10 minutes away—is known for its numerous, perfectly groomed cross-country and skating trails. A network of cross-country trails spanning over 220 km stretches across the Schladming-Dachstein region.
We, the Trinker family, look forward to meeting you.
