Lower your expe nations to avoid disappointment

Nice view

Too small. Only one bedroom. Multiple items broken. One of beds was located o. Balcony. Loud and ineffective air-conditioning.Expect nothing to work and you won't be disappointed Booked the apartment for a week based on the fact that it was advertised to have a working washing machine, two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge. 1 out of three isn't bad. Just for context we travelled with 2 of our teenagers - girl aged 16 and boy aged 14. We usually travel to France in our caravan but decided to book an apartment so we had more room for the teens.....big mistake! This is NOT a two bedroom apartment as advertised! This is a one bedroom apartment and even then its not really a bedroom, Harry Potter had more room at the Dursleys! There is a double bed with 2ft width around one side of the bed and the foot of the bed. The "second" bedroom advertised is not what's on the picture, it is infact a rotting futon on the balcony (not full sized)! The clever photography on the description is of the same room with different bedding on and from different angles. Now maybe the owner dislikes one of their kids enough to let them sleep on the balcony or maybe French rules allow it but I'm 100% certain that if I put my child on a balcony to sleep in England I would be getting a knock on the door from social services, especially in 30 degree heat. Thankfully there is a Decathon 20 minutes away so we bought an air bed and he slept on kitchen floor, again not ideal or safe. Now on to the rest of the apartment. The shower - doesn't fit on the shower holder which is situated in the middle of the bath so you have to shower holding the shower. The air-conditioning unit gives a Royal Air Force Tornado Jet a run for its money. In fact I'm sure a Tornado Jet makes less noise - top tip if you want to stay cool pack some industrial strength ear defenders!
