The Casa Gialla is located in the historic heart of Ferrara, the Castrum—also known as the Castello dei Curtensi—which dates back to around 1530. The interior has undergone extensive restoration, and the building is listed by the Ministry of Fine Arts.
The 126-square-meter house can accommodate up to 5 people
Just a 7-minute walk from the oldest section of the city walls (Via del Baluardi), the Casa Gialla is the ideal base for experiencing the city in the most authentic way.
Near the Archaeological Museum, Palazzo Schifanoia, and Sant’Antonio in Polesine.
The 126-square-meter home is spread over three floors; please note there are stairs inside and steps leading up to the apartment. There are stairs inside, so please keep an eye on children.
The interior layout is as follows:
-BEDROOM I with a double bed, closet, split A/C unit, and armchair;
-BEDROOM II with a single bed, desk, and chair;
-LIVING ROOM with a double sofa bed, TV, split A/C, table with chairs, armchair, and DVD player;
-KITCHEN with gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, moka pot, dishwasher, oven and microwave, electric kettle, various kitchen utensils, wine glasses;
-BATHROOM I with shower stall, bidet, and toilet;
-BATHROOM II with bathtub, bidet, and toilet.
ADDITIONAL AMENITIES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: Unlimited Wi-Fi, independent heating, hot water, air conditioning, soundproof windows, mosquito screens, washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothesline, hair dryer.
PLEASE NOTE: Recycling and waste disposal are MANDATORY and the responsibility of guests.

TRANSPORTATION:
- From Bologna’s Marconi Airport, you can reach the property in 43 minutes by car or taxi;
- From Ferrara Station, you can take bus no. 1, 2, or 6 to the Alfonso d’Este Museo Di Spina stop, a 4-minute walk from the property;
- For those traveling by car, free parking (NOT GUARANTEED) is available on Via Baluardi and Via XX Settembre, just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment.

The property was in a lovely, quiet location in the historic centre of Ferrara. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet stay.
The only hitch was that we had not realised that the single bedroom is about four small flights of stairs down from the rest of the house. Both my husband and I require a toilet on the same floor as a bedroom. We also sleep in separate bedrooms. This was resolved by using the sofa bed. The manager was most helpful in providing bedding for us.
Looking ahead, perhaps you could consider replacing the desk and shelves in the single bedroom with storage for clothes, etc. That would make it more welcoming and functional.
