Come enjoy a stay just outside Mont Saint-Michel at the Gîte du Buisson (sleeps 6).
The Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to Europe’s highest tides… Take a trip to Granville, a small former pirate town transformed into a renowned seaside resort, all the way to Saint-Malo, located at the northern tip of Ille-et-Vilaine and serving as a gateway to the Channel Islands and England via Fougères and its medieval castle.
The cottage is located in Brittany, in the heart of the Sougéal Marsh Nature Reserve. It offers breathtaking views of the natural surroundings, less than 10 minutes from the gateway to Normandy. The marsh is one of Brittany’s three main pike spawning grounds and also a prime habitat for waterfowl. The reserve’s ornithological value is closely linked to its proximity to the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, which is internationally recognized for its ability to support waterfowl.
A must-see, a visit to Mont Saint-Michel can be planned as follows:
– Tour of the village and ramparts,(you can also hire a guide)
– Tour of the abbey
– Tour of the museums
On the first floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and electric kettle. Dining table and chairs for 8 people, a sitting area around a large granite fireplace, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
A hot tub for 6 people, heated year-round to 38°C, on an outdoor terrace, and patio furniture for 8 people.
Upstairs, the sleeping area: a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people (13 m² double bed – 12 m² double bed – 10 m² with 2 single beds).
From the cottage, you can reach:
Mont Saint-Michel, 15 km away
Saint-Malo, 40 minutes away
Granville, 45 minutes away
Dinard, 50 minutes away
Fougères, 35 minutes away
Cleaning fee: 110 euros.
Bed linens and towels are provided during your stay.

Really lovely Gite for small family in a remote location and ideal for visiting mont st michel… would recommend a car as not much to be found in the local village Sougeal. Gite was fully equipped with comfortable beds, modern shower facilities and fully equipped kitchen. The teenagers enjoyed the hot tub and too. Host was very helpful and responsive. Would recommend

What a wonderful setting! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and especially the hot tub! It was so comfortable for six people. We enjoyed the quiet countryside and waking up two birds singing every morning. It was magical.

This was a wonderful place to stay, well located and a haven to return to at the end of each day. The spa pool was a luxurious bonus. Great appreciation to Gregory!
