About this apartment rental
Our family-friendly vacation farm welcomes you to modern, well-equipped vacation apartments, available with either a combined living and sleeping area or multiple bedrooms, depending on your needs.
Our farm offers plenty of entertainment for young and old alike.
If you’re more in the mood for excursions, sports, or wellness, the surrounding area offers a wealth of attractions. These include, among others, the mountains of the Bavarian Forest such as the Arber, Rachel, and Lusen; the modern outdoor and indoor swimming pools in Bodenmais, Bad Kötzting, Lam, and Deggendorf; the mountain bike park at Geißkopf; and the proximity to cities like Passau, Munich, and Nuremberg, as well as Prague and Linz. No matter which activity you choose, our bread roll service ensures a great start to your day. If your four-legged family member—such as a dog or cat—would like to come along, that’s no problem. Pets are also welcome.
Excursions and Hiking:
The resort is well-connected, offering plenty of opportunities for excursions.
It doesn’t matter whether you choose to explore on foot, by bike, by train, or by car.

Some examples: - City tours, such as Regensburg, Passau, Munich, and Nuremberg - Day trips to neighboring countries, such as the Czech Republic or Austria - Bavarian Forest National Park, with its wildlife enclosure - Lohberg Wildlife Park - Summit hikes on the most beautiful mountains in the Bavarian Forest (Arber, Rachel, Lusen) - Churpfalzpark or Bayernpark—beautiful amusement parks for the whole family - Silberberg Bodenmais.
You can get a bird’s-eye view for yourself by taking a scenic flight over your vacation region. You can do this at the airport in Arnbruck, just a 10-minute drive away.

If you’re not a skier, no problem. Our vacation home and the region offer plenty of attractions here as well.

If you’re looking for a more serious experience, you can go cross-country skiing at the nearby Bretterschachten Cross-Country Ski Center, where major competitions are held regularly.
Of course, there are also beautiful toboggan runs, such as Schareben—which can be reached by ski bus—or the Geißkopf near Bischofsmais.
A guided snowshoe hike through the forests of the Arber region is a wonderful experience. Here you’ll find unspoiled nature and can also visit the “Schachten,” where livestock used to graze.
Description of the Wiesengrund vacation rental:
The apartment is located in our country house, offering a magnificent, unobstructed view of the mountains of the Bavarian Forest.
The 40 m² apartment with a south-facing terrace features a combined living and sleeping area (open double bed, closet, nightstand, corner bench set with 4 seats, pull-out couch for 2 teenagers, dresser with flat-screen TV), a new fully equipped kitchen, and a shower with toilet.
You’re welcome to use the washing machine and dryer for a fee.

A great vacation at a very quiet place, super-friendly owners, patient with our noisy family (3 little kids). Our boys loved helping at the cowshed, riding on the tractor, and were fascinated by the chickens :-) We took some lovely walks and explored the nearby woods. The trip to Wald Wipfel Weg was great fun, as was driving around the Bavarian forest and getting out of the car every now and then to explore the little towns. A bit of skiing, but there was not a lot of snow this winter. I definitely recommend this place, especially to families with small kids who like a bit of adventure and/or want to get away from it all.
