Past it's heyday

Muchas Gracias to Andres on reception, an efficient, welcoming and charming host, he went out of his way to explain the routes to the nearest shops, best places to visit and the busiest bakery in town! He cheerfully organised taxis and allowed us to store our suitcases after check out. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms, good wifi. The sea view (roof terrace a real bonus!!) and the proximity to the beautiful La Mata beach is splendid, the pool sparkling.

What is advertised as direct access via 2 gates to the beach from the pool area is currently shut and overlooking a building site, it looks like they could be extending the promenade between the hotel and the beach. The view from the room balconies was marred by said building site. The hotel needs attention, very shabby paintwork, ugly rusty spiral stairs between room balconies, piled up patio chairs next to the stairs leading to the rooms... The adjacent beach bar and restaurant I saw online is closed (seasonal?).

Definitely not good value for money

Location was great, directly on the beach. Receptionist at check in was friendly and helpful with recommendations about the beautiful town of La Mata.

No nearby parking available- we parked 400 metres away (I asked online a day before and the answer from the hotel was, not a problem nearby). Wifi is not existing- we got the code at check in but the router was never visible for us. Hotel needs serious updating- the walls have cracks, roof comes down, furniture is very old and mattress is not comfortable to have a relaxed night. Kitchen appliances are old and doesn’t seem safe to use. Curtains are not long enough at the kitchen/living area, which means neighbours can watch you all time. The pictures showed a restaurant, which is not part of the hotel, therefore no breakfast available. Furthermore the noise level was high and cleaning staff was quite loud talking in front of rooms and moving furniture at 8am. At check out we had to wait for receptionist as they start to work at 10am and we had no information prior where to leave keys. We paid 340€ for 2 nights and expected a decent standard, but very dissapointed and see this hotel as a tourist trap. Can‘t recommend it and will book a decent Apartment in La Mata from other providers in the future, because that town is heaven on earth.

Absolutely spotlessly clean! yes it’s dated and could do with a lick of paint, new sofas etc but after Covid etc, it’s understandable. Beds comfy and black out curtains! The location is amazing and it is pet friendly! Booked for next year before we left this morning!

No kettle but did have pans. That’s it!

Beach front Location the only plus , old tired hotel / condotel

Sadly the heating broke in my room, I stayed 6 nights and the heating was not working for 5, and it was very very cold in the evening. Furniture and fittings are old, but ok. Shower was very good lovely view of the Mediterranean sea from the room.

Secluded, quiet, with plenty of amenities

The sea front rooms are above a bar that plays loud hardcore rave music until 3am making it impossible to sleep

The apartment was in great need of refurbishment, old, dirty kitchen, no kettle! Sofa and table grimy and very small bedroom and bathroom.

Great location, everything we needed

Location, on the beautiful, long sandy beach, you can walk for hours, only 35 minutes drive from Alicante airport, quiet hotel, great staff, close to restaurants, bars, food shop. We had an apartment in the middle at the back with view over the pool and the ocean. I will book the second floor apartment at the sea front the next time we go there. There were 1 small double bed, 1 soda bed sleeping 2 and 1 single bed on the second floor. Loved the roof terrace. Great sized apartment with stairs up to the second floor.

Missing freezer door in fridge, no kettle but pots to boil water in, mattress was a bit firm but that seems to be common. Sunbeds pretty worn out and needs to be replaced.

Did what it said on the tin...

The staff are the best, everyone from reception to cleaning staff, all friendly with a smile and a chat. We loved the solarium, we had sun all day. The location is perfect. Good value for the location. We did not have a direct sea view but had a partial view and we were happy. The bed was not like our own but was comfortable enough. Yes, the decor is tired but it is very clean. We didn't eat in due to the choice of great value restaurants nearby, some really great food which we loved.

The sun beds need replacing. Otherwise, we got what we paid for and expected, we would visit again.

The staff was exceptional. Hotel directly on the beach. We've had our apartment cleaned every day.

The facilities in general need a little bit of renovation, especially kitchen.

Super little couples hide away - can't wait to return.

Super stay here with my husband for 24hrs of quiet time. So relaxing and we will definitely return to stay here again. Its a couples paradise, small quaint little hotel and RIGHT on the beach. Spotlessly clean and manager was so so accommodating, extended out check out to 3.30pm to suit our travel plans.

Food in Italian right next door was very disappointing, not sure if the business are connected - same doors /access etc but food wasn't great there at all.

It's right on the beach.

Location is perfect. Housekeeping staff were perfect. Pool is nice. rooms were comfortable, great AC, shower.

Tiny circular staircase to access bedrooms and bathroom, but it works. No onsite parking, add claimed parking available, yes but it's street parking and not easy to find.

Enjoyed overall beside beach, clean apartment, nice staff

When we arrived given room for 6+ people with no sea view which we paid for - in fairness sorted the next day but caused unnecessary stress.

The sun loungers were old in apartment and there should be a min of 2 and they badly need to be upgraded

On beach. Near shops. Good air con. Friendly, helpful staff.

Bit tatty round the edges. Could do with a spruce up here and there, lick of paint on the balconies etc, but did not spoil our time there.

Beautiful location

Will not book here again for this reason, Blinds or nets desperately Absolutely no privacy, our room was by the reception and the main walkway to pool and beach, people passing could look right in curtains therefore closed always, bed 1 mtr in front of large window only privacy in bathroom, so with (blackout) curtains open no relaxing on bed have to change in bathroom. Male staff totally uninterested.. Come on, blinds are not that expensive and can let light in

HHad a fabulous trip..very relaxing, multicultural and very clean

very Close to beach. restaurants and bars all within minutes of walking and a great selection of food available and very reasonable. Little super market available for bits and bobs although a little more pricey than a bigger store.

More sun beds around the pool and ones that are in better condition. The pool is small but very clean and maintained. Enjoyed use everyday. Little bar available for food and drink.
