About this apartment rental
The 5 apartments can also be booked for larger groups and family gatherings.
Our property includes a large garden with mature trees, where our guests are warmly welcome. It offers seating and lounging areas on various levels, as well as a space for barbecuing.
For relaxation, there is a new wellness area with a sauna and Jacuzzi for our guests.
There is a connection between Villa Lageder and the Alois Lageder Winery, whose premium wines are exported all over the world. We’d be happy to organize a wine testing and guided tour for you.
History of Villa Lageder: My grandfather Alois purchased this villa in 1915 as a summer retreat for his family. It seemed well-suited for this purpose, as he needed plenty of space for his seven children; it had a large garden, a wine cellar, and enough room in the barn for a carriage and horses. Back then, the journey to the Sarntal Valley was made by horse-drawn carriage—a long ride along the old road down through the wild and romantic Talfer Gorge. Since that time, the villa has served as a summer home for generations of our family. I’m glad that, thanks to a gentle renovation, we were able to preserve some of the old features: tiled stoves, cast-iron stoves, old wooden ceilings, vaulted ceilings, painted farmhouse chests, the simple softwood furniture, and other everyday objects from that era. Until the late 1940s, you still had to fetch water from the large wooden trough in front of the house, which was fed by a private spring—the spring is still there! I hope I’ve piqued your curiosity!
