The Rio Del Mar Beach House is just a two-minute walk from Rio Del Mar and Seacliff State Beaches featuring 20 miles of walkable sand in both directions (down to Monterey or north to Santa Cruz)! The Space: - Comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests - 3 bedrooms - 2.5 bathrooms - 2 parking spaces in the driveway. This home is on a private street and neighbors can be very sensitive to where people park. Please only park in the driveway. - Fully stocked kitchen w/ drip coffee maker - Living room - Backyard w/ outdoor seating, bbq, hot tub & firepit Note: - No gatherings or parties allowed (strictly enforced) - The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety. - Smart TVs with streaming capabilities (no local channels or cable). - NO PETS Guest Access: Guests will enjoy the entire house and backyard. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer an earlier check-in or bag drop. This helps us ensure our team has sufficient time preparing the unit for your arrival, while maintaining Airbnb's enhanced cleaning process and social-distancing and other COVID-19-related guidelines. Thank you for your understanding! The Neighborhood: Aptos is a coastal gem nestled in Santa Cruz County. With its stunning beaches, including Rio del Mar and Seacliff State Beach, it's a haven for sun-seekers and surf enthusiasts. This charming town boasts a laid-back vibe, a mix of boutique shops, and a vibrant dining scene, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing vacation. The iconic Cement Ship at Seacliff Beach is a must-see, and nearby forested parks like Nisene Marks offer hiking and biking trails. Aptos combines natural beauty, small-town charm, and easy access to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, creating an ideal coastal escape for visitors. This is a very quiet, family neighborhood. It is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property. Getting Around: - Rio Del Mar Beach (3 minute drive, 15 minute walk) - Forest of Nisene Marks State Park (5 minute drive) - Aptos Village, including Penny Ice Creamery, Mentone, Pacific Foods, Cat and Cloud Coffee (5 minute drive) - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (20 minute drive) Other Things to Note: - We have landscapers, pest service, hot tub, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you. - TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels. - The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety. - We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.

We did not enjoy our accommodations. There were safety concerns as well as comfort concerns. There was no smoke detector in the kitchen. Towels provided for us were not dry to the point that they left the bed damp where they were placed. The fan in the downstairs bathroom was inoperable. We received a text shortly after 9:00 PM alerting us that there was a noise complaint. We were inside with the doors and windows closed laughing as we played a board game. The information we were given told us quiet time was 10:00. We then felt we could not and did not use the backyard, fire pit, or hot tub because we might get fined for having a good time. And that’s how it felt, we sat at a table and played a game but everything changed once we got the text message. The refrigerator and freezer were set at unsafe temperatures and the fridge door did not close/stay closed without effort. The house is farther away from the beach than they describe or show! There is not enough seating in the living room and the chairs in living room are very uncomfortable. Not a place for people who want to enjoy a group. Maybe for 2 people but it would be very stressful to stay quiet all the time with more than 2 people.

Close to beach and bluffs, clean fun private backyard a jacuzzi- wish we could have had a full 24hrs -check in at 4pm- check out at 11am

We loved our time here. The house was incredible for our party of 7. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. So close to the beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

6 of us stayed and LOVED it! Close to beach. Quiet neighborhood. Nearly everything you need to cook! Great coffee and coffee maker! Hot tub. So great! Only thing we wish they had is a salad spinner for our salad we made.
