It's an understatement to say our host, Eva, was absolutely amazing and made us feel right at home! She stayed up late to help us settle in, since we couldn't arrive until around 10 pm. She kindly went out of her way to make us some tasty food and even brought a bottle of wine when we couldn't find any open options since we arrived so late. Our entire stay was super pleasant, and the views are great. The atmosphere is very homey, and access to an industrial kitchen was an awesome option I've never experienced before. It's a great place to meet people, and they host lots of outdoor group events, like BBQs and game nights, to give guests opportunities to mingle. It's a short walk from the local bus stop, which takes you right into town and directly to the local train station for easy hopping around.
The walk up the hill to the property was a little steep, so probably not the best place for seniors/disabled individuals without proper planning. But if you're able-bodied, it's not a big deal at all. Everything else was great!

The apartment was excellent, very clean, and extremely comfortable.
As for the host, Eva—she is amazing! She took care of everything from A to Z and was so kind and helpful.
We highly recommend this place. We had a great stay, and the location is super convenient, close to most of the main attractions.
If you are without car, make sure to always check the bus time, line 61, plan your day around the bus time.

Great size apartment. Walking distance to lake Lugano and cafes, restaurants.
The location of property was very difficult to find and get a parking spot to check in. We got very frazzled and ended up parking in a private car park behind the office building to check in and then paid to park in the garage of the apartment building.

Brilliant location in a serene village on the Thunersee, smackbang in the middle of an outstandingly beautiful part of Switzerland. A very good spot for all kinds of day trips into nature or towns. Simple but good facilities on the ground floor for storing and preparing food. Host very responsive, check-in very easy, adequate parking space.
The double room facilities are rather sparse with a tiny bathroom (disfunctional toilet flush was fixed fast after notifying the host) and an even tinier tv. More importantly, especially for those staying on the 2nd floor: be aware that unlike with the average 'Ferienwohnung' the host family lives on the top floor of the house and they are there most of the time. Lacking their own substantial outside space, they lead a very active life around the accommodation, which can make your stay feel like you are intruding in someone else's life (or the other way around?). Expect children frequently stomping, jumping and running around indoors (the ceiling barely stayed up) and playing table tennis outdoors, and as a bonus you could receive an unrequested shower on your balcony when apparently it's time to water the plants one level up. All a bit of a contrast to the calm surroundings.
