Conveniently located hotel in Stone Town.
Great base for a night or two.
Staff very friendly, basic but adequate breakfast.
We would definitely stay again.
Hot food service a little slow, but didn’t cause an issue.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant and lovely pool. The rooms were decorated beautifully and had gorgeous furniture. Rooms were very large and modern bathrooms. Great location in Stone Town.
We had an issue in the bathroom with the shower not draining properly and also the air conditioner dripping when it was on. We raised the bathroom with staff but it didn’t get fixed while we were there during the 3 days. A small inconvenience.

The hotel was recently opened again after low-season renovations, but was well presented. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking and my two-story room quirky and nice. Remember to ask for the sparkling wine for breakfast! A nice little touch... :)
The access to the hotel could have been cleaned up and made a little more presentable :)

Huge rooms with great king-size bed and big bathroom. Fantastic secluded pool - great for laps and nice for a cool dip at night. Good location near to ferry and forodhani, and felt quiet and peaceful.
Some of the front desk and restaurant staff were quite unfriendly. Bad instant coffee at breakfast (considering $100 per night rate). TV had very limited channels. Access to hotel can be a challenge if it's raining.

clean, large room with good air conditioning.
Shower was outdated, massive opening between room and bathroom. view from balcony.

Pretty boutique hotel overlooking the sea in a good location

This hotel is incredible and exceeded all my expectations. It exhale the Stone Town's character and charm, from the welcome ice tea (made out of local spices), to the beautifully furnished rooms. I can't recommend enough!

What a beautiful hotel right in the middle of stone town, incredibly comfortable bed, very clean and very tastefully designed. The bar/restaurant on the roof is just great, fantastic views and the food is good as well
cant think of anything we didnt like. the stairs, but that me being lazy

The building itself was wonderful and a perfect combination of both traditional with the comforts of modernity. The room was very large and had a very good AC unit, especially since it was a very humid day. The restaurant food was incredible and the staff there were very engaging and friendly. We also loved the proximity to the airport. We stayed at a very modern all-inclusive hotel for most of our stay but it was an hour an a half away from the airport so we chose this one as it was only 15 minutes away. If we had known how charming it would be we would've stayed here a couple of additional nights. Next time!
There is some construction leading up to the hotel so it is a little hard to find at first and we had to walk across a bumpy alley with our luggage to get there. Though the street it was on is a very charming street the rooms are not very soundproof and we heard all the noise from people talking in the streets below.

it was our daughters birthday and the waiting staff in the restaurant were so kind and sang to her and even gave her a birthday cake! also the view from the roof top restaurant is awesome!
the reception staff weren’t the most welcoming…

Charming hotel with a great deal of attention paid to detail in design. Great location for getting around Stonetown. The rooftop dining area is by far the best part of staying at Seyyida. It beat out all the other ‘top rooftops in Zanzibar’ locations I visited.
The bathrooms were clean but show signs of aging. A bit worse for wear especially considering the price of the accomodation.

Such a good find. The staff were superb, polite and courteous. Our room was huge with a large bathroom. We really liked the rooftop terrace and the bar staff were friendly. The Breakfast was good and the dinners were great.
Nothing to dislike really, we were well looked after. Reception were really very helpful, organising taxi's and let us leave our luggage safely with them on our check out day. Valuables were locked away in there safe.

The bathroom would need to be refreshed a bit.

Nothing other than not being able to stay a bit longer!

very good location, close to the night food market and couple of shops. the hotel is very much located in the streets with the locals which I thought was nice to experience.
not much space around the pool for the loungers however when staying in the town I suppose that isn’t a priority.
5.0
good location, close to market and beach. good value trips. nice terrace where you can watch sunset.
extra fee for using the swimming pool. staff woke us up insisted to change our mattress even when we had “do not disturb” card on the door. builders straight beside our windows working all day.

the restaurant staff were lovely, the rooftop dining area is nice. brilliant AC kept us cool, lovely big comfy beds location is in easy walking distance to all the shops the museum and restaurants
really really noisy the walls are so thin we struggled to sleep
the location is central but in a very dirty enclosed area so it felt claustrophobic
the pool area has lots of mosquitoes
the electrics were poor and the plugs kept sparking making us feel unsafe using appliances

Room and facilities were great
Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
