We absolutely loved our stay at Emma House. The host and her father were wonderful! They were very communicative and they met every need and exceeded every expectation. The apartment itself was in great condition, very comfortable, and spacious. Plus, it was about a five minute walk to the train station, so that made access to Varenna and Milan very convenient.
The couch was wonderful, the bed slept very well, and the shower was large and had great water pressure. Also, the WiFi worked well.
The kitchenette area did lack just a bit of counter space, but it had everything you could need to cook wonderful meals. Another nice perk was that Conad’s grocery store was literally across the street. And, just across from Conad’s was a wonderful little bakery. We thoroughly enjoyed her breads and her pastries.
Bellano is an amazing village. It has a beautiful waterfall, gorgeous churches, great restaurants, and a lakeside walk that has incredible views. Also, as far as transportation goes, a ferry leaves from Bellano several times a day.
We would highly recommend in Emma House to anyone visiting Lake Como!
There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the place. We plan on trying to stay here again when we come back to Lake Como.

The location was fantastic, near to train station and ferry dock, with luggage storage, super-mart and a few restaurants within a few steps. The apartment was well equipped, clean, and definitely comfortable for a few days stay. The host even provided a bottle of wine. Bellano is much peaceful compared to Varenna and we enjoyed beautiful sunset walk on the waterfront without crowds.
Love Emma House! Do note that ferry schedule is limited to/from Bellano but it is easy and convenient to take a 5min train to Varenna even late at night.

The location, size, cleanliness and facilities of the apartment were excellent. Easy walk from the train station and to the boat departure point, restaurants and bars. Conad supermarket ascross the road. Good for runners, I ran twice early morning (before people hit the streets), along the promenade. Glad I chose Bellano rather than the other more well-known places, it is less crowded. Finally, the owner Francesca was very helpful, the pre-arrival information was very clear , she sorted out an issue with the wi-fi (or at least her dad did!) and was always available. This apartment is highly recommended.

The proximity to the train line and ferry is the winner. The space laundry facilities and near to a supermarket is also a bonus . The place is clean and well equipped
