The Müller family’s Kellerstöckl is located right on the Stradenberg, one of the best vineyard sites in Styria’s Thermen-& Vulkanland region. Frutten-Gießelsdorf is the perfect base for exploring the immediate surroundings. Wine and food enthusiasts can, for example, take a trip to the neighboring village of Sankt Anna am Aigen and visit the Gesamtsteirische Vinothek—which offers over 130 wines from all over Styria—or one of the many excellent wineries or wine taverns. By the way: In Sankt Anna am Aigen, you can also experience the wine with all your senses along the “Weinweg der Sinne” (Wine Trail of the Senses). The Müller family’s vacation home is the perfect starting point for this!
Not far from the Kellerstöckl is the observation tower with a panoramic viewing platform 40 meters above the ground. From here, you can enjoy views stretching far beyond the state borders. For those looking for some exercise, there are plenty of bike trails in Styria’s Thermal & Volcanic Region: for example, you can explore the Mur Bike Trail or the Klöcher Wine Route.
