The Property is in a half Souterrain therefore it should be safe in case of Emergency.

NA

The Property is a safety Hazard, only the the Door is available in case of Emergency , and the only window is blocked/sealed by screwes. The closet can't be used because the hinge is broken and detached from the Frame. The toilet Door is broken and can't be closed, the door plate is bigger than the Frame, the Lock is broken as well; it hangs loosely in the door Plate.it appears there is a window in the Toilet; however it is cowered by a board and fixed with screws. The positive thing in the Toilet is the Exhaust Ventilation. Because of the missing remote control, the TV can't be used. Heating, only one heater is working. the bathroom heater can't be activated, no switch or other controls. The Bracket of the Showerhead is hanging loosely on one screw and appears to detach momentarily during showering. The Washing Machine is dirty on the Washing powder intake. The Main Door is secured with a Number Lock, which is a good if you know how it works, there is no information how to work the mechanism except the provided code by Email. The opening is straight forward, type in the code- its open. The tricky thing is the closing, if the door is just closed nothing is happening, after trying for same time different possibilities we found out; when the door is closed you have to wait approximately 1 Minute than the it engage the lock. Kind a risky if people just walk away, thinking the door is locked while it is still open ca. 1 Minute. The Apartment is fairly good equipped with Appliances , but has no Manuals available to understand how operate them.

Bed bugs, black mold, and electrical problems are the hallmarks of this charming Paris apartment.

The location is the only redeemable part of this property and if the issues I mention are very addressed it will still be a good option. Also the WiFi was fast and worked well, which is good since the cell reception in the building is bad.

Bed bugs After sleeping in bed the first night of our stay, people in one of the rooms woke up with a large amount of very itchy bites all over their bodies. After ripping apart the room we found small signs of a bed bug infestation we previously missed. I tried to contact the host both through booking.com and through the WhatsApp number provided about this issue and received no response on either channel. Since I had seen other reviews mentioning that the host won’t refund for any cleanliness or safety issues I gave up trying and after squeezing into the other rooms we avoided getting any other bites except one. We will of course have to take many steps once arriving home to avoid causing an infestation to our homes, which will consume significant amounts of time and money to heat treat all of the clothes and luggage. Not to mention the amount of money it will take and stress it will cause if we are unsuccessful and develop a bug infestation in our home, which will take professional work to remediate. Black Mold There is visible black mold in the bathroom as well as a significant odor of mold in the bed bug infested room. During the last day of our stay, most of which we stayed inside for, several of us developed a chest cough that is almost definitely a sign of mold poisoning. Electrical safety When we plugged in one of the provided standing fans into an outlet on the first day, it did turn on but immediately started smelling like burning plastic and electronics. I’m not sure if the problem was the fan or the outlet since we didn’t try plugging anything else into that outlet for the remained of our stay, but other rooms had the reading light and outlets hanging out of the wall. It’s possible that was maybe done to try to kill the previously mentioned bed bugs, but should be immediately addressed since it seems very unsafe. The towel dryer in the bathroom didn’t work either, hopefully not due to electrical issues.
