DON'T EVEN CONSIDER - NOT WORTH IT!!

Everything, the place is grotty and unkept. Advertised as Cherry Tree, definitely not. I was raised in Cherry Tree which is why we wanted to stay in the suburb, this is Mill Hill. Cherry Tree is a more affluent area, we queried this 'error' with the host who stated that Google maps lists the property as Cherry Tree, this is a lie, my great grandparents lived on New Wellington St, which was and always will be Mill Hill, this address is New Wellington Close, newer buildings than New Wellington St which leads to the Close but it has always been Mill Hill. Guessing the host charges a higher rate for the listing as Cherry Tree. The 'didn't like' list would be endless:- no mattress or pillow protectors on the beds, the pillows are yellow and stained, we bought new pillows and a mattress protector. The bins outside were all full (on arrival) so we had no where to put the rubbish from the house. The oven does not have any temperature markings for the oven. Very few kitchen utensils, pans were filthy and burned. Cutlery was dirty and forks full of old food. Toaster almost caught fire with pieces of bread and crumb build up. We requested a grill pan so that we could at least use the grill in the oven, we advised the host that we would not be home but he let himself into the property knowing that we were not there, I asked why and he responded that he didn't think that we would have a problem with that! The back door of the property does not close or lock, it does lead into a conservatory area that does have a locking door but not as secure. The internet coverage is intermittent and tv in the conservatory area is for decoration only as there is no aerial connected. The host is quick to respond to any queries but lacking in solutions for most of the issues which previous guests have raised. Shower was broken.

We were in Blackburn for a family funeral and wanted a home from home to relax in and this unfortunately this wasn’t it

In a quiet area but definitely not in Cherry Tree more Mill Hill and this would have affected our booking

Not very clean. In the kitchen the bin was very dirty, bits of food in the fridge, drawer fronts hanging off, broken hinges, no tea towel or oven gloves, oven very bad and the grill tray unusable, couldn’t read any temp numbers on the oven. No plug in bathroom sink, no lightbulb in bedroom

Place was not clean. Areas of the Dining table, bins, kitchen and cutlery were dirty and not cleaned properly. Bedding had biro pen marker all over the bedsheet. First night, no heating or hot water.

Really lovely comfy home, the lounge /dining area is all new, nice carpets and sofas. Great size TV & fast Internet. The kitchen was basic, but the washer & dryer is a good extra. Both double bedrooms were a good size, I chose the front one, slept so well the bed was comfy & the cul-de-sac was super quiet, and you can't hear the neighbours. Being able to park in the drive was a plus for me. Heating was easy to use, & got super hot very quickly. The owner was excellent with communication. I will definitely stay again.
