About this apartment rental
Underfloor heating, an open plan and lots of daylight, plus a large fenced garden with a covered terrace. Apartment 1 is part of our holiday home by the bird park and made for two, happily with a child or dog. Around 600 metres to the beach.
The apartment
Apartment 1 is one of the two apartments in nienrausch, our holiday home by the bird park in Niendorf. Across 55 m², living, cooking and sleeping flow into one another without ever feeling cramped. Built in furniture structures the space, the double bed has its own quiet corner, and plenty of daylight makes the rooms bright and open. Everything is on one level, and underfloor heating keeps it cosy in autumn and winter.
Garden and dogs
The best part is right outside the door: a large garden with a covered terrace where you can have breakfast outdoors even in Baltic weather. We fenced the plot for our four legged guests. Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge, and the dog beach is around 600 metres away.
Cooking and sleeping
The open kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, and the large dining table has room for long evenings. There is also your own washing machine, handy for longer stays or after a day on the beach with your dog. A sofa bed sleeps a third person, and for children there is a high chair, a travel cot, a few toys and children's books.
Location
A wooden boardwalk across the moorland leads to the house, a small introduction to the nature all around. The beach, the fishing harbour and the pier are around 600 metres away. Two simple bicycles are available at the house, and the Brodten cliffs and Lake Hemmelsdorf are within easy cycling distance.
More space
Travelling with more people? Through a double sliding door, Apartment 1 can be joined with Apartment 2 to form a 105 m² house.
Good to know
Arrival from 3 pm, contactless with your personal door code, departure by 11 am, with one free parking space on the property. The flat rate of €110 for final cleaning and service is included in the total price. It covers bed linen, towels, utilities, bicycles, WiFi and your dogs. No deposit required. The local visitor's tax is paid in cash on departure. For children we charge a one off fee of €15 per child for bed linen and towels, also paid in cash on departure. The travel cot is free of charge, bed linen for it is available on request for €15 as well.

nienrausch sits quietly next to the bird park in Niendorf, the original fishing village of Timmendorfer Strand on the Bay of Lübeck. The beach, the dog beach, the fishing harbour with fresh fish straight off the boats and the pier are each around 600 metres away on foot. Nature begins right behind the house: the moorland, the bird park and, on the way to Travemünde, the Brodten cliffs with their panoramic path above the Baltic Sea. Lake Hemmelsdorf and the Timmendorfer Strand promenade are a short bike ride away. Bakery and doctor are within walking distance, the supermarket and railway station about 1.6 km away.
