# HOUSE RULES AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

**Operation as a Furnished Tourist Rental – Tourism Code Art. L324-2 et seq.**

### 1. LEGAL FRAMEWORK AND RIGHT OF ACCESS

This contract is governed by the Civil Code (Art. 1101 et seq.) and the Tourism Code. Pursuant to Article **544 of the Civil Code**, the owner sets the conditions for use of the property.

* **Restricted Access:** Only individuals identified at the time of booking are authorized to enter the building and the rental unit. Bringing in undeclared third parties constitutes an immediate breach of contract.
* **Respect for the Premises:** The tenant has the right to occupy the premises but agrees to allow access to the owner or the owner’s representatives in the event of a technical emergency or suspected danger.

### 2. FIRE SAFETY AND OCCUPANCY CAPACITY

This section is mandatory for maintaining insurance coverage (Art. L113-2 of the Insurance Code).

* **Occupancy Limit:** Occupancy is strictly limited to **4 people**. The building is designed for a total occupancy of fewer than 15 people so as not to fall under the regulations for public access facilities (ERP).
* **Prohibited sleeping arrangements:** Only fixed bedding is intended for sleeping. The use of the sofa or additional sleeping arrangements (air mattresses, etc.) for overnight stays is strictly prohibited.
* **Safety devices:** It is strictly prohibited to obstruct, cover, or remove the batteries from **autonomous smoke detectors (DAAF)**. Any unauthorized tampering will be billed **€150** and reported as endangering others.
