A short walk from Canyon Road & a quick drive to the plaza, this spacious hillside home is a gateway to Santa Fe's art and dining scene. Imagine yourself on the peaceful front porch and patio, listening to the fountain, feeling the cool breeze, and watching hummingbirds flutter by. The deck provides breathtaking views, comfortable seating areas, & is the ultimate space for relaxation. Positioned high on a hillside overlooking the Santa Fe River valley, Hummingbird offers optimal views, both morning & evening, of the surrounding mountains to the East & West. The home's understated southwestern decor is complemented by beautiful artwork, creating an inviting atmosphere. The fully stocked kitchen provides everything you need for intimate meals at the dining table or al fresco on the deck. The living area features large glass doors that frame the magnificent mountain backdrop. A library, equipped with a daybed and pop-up trundle, is located across from the dry bar and kitchen, which showcases quartz countertops and a stylish black granite island doubling as a breakfast bar. The formal dining area accommodates up to eight guests. Privacy is assured with a layout that offers separated sleeping spaces. The primary bedroom offers a king bed and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a large soaking tub and walk-in shower, while the guest bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and en-suite bathroom. The home is on two levels with an internal half stair & 15 or so steps up from the parking area. Hummingbird is not only aesthetically pleasing but also rich in character. It boasts three fireplaces, an impressive collection of original artwork, century-old Native American artifacts, and a diverse library. Hummingbird is the place to escape, relax, and create lasting memories in the enchanting Santa Fe landscape. Bed Configuration: Main Bedroom - King Bed with En-suite 2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed with En-suite The home is dog friendly (1 dog max) and the pet fee is $40/day (Max $250). This home has been a part of the vibrant Santa Fe vacation rental market for 12 years under the management of a different company & has received consistent reviews averaging 4.9 or 5.0 out of 5.0. VRC can share these prior guest comments & ratings upon request. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance. We had a great stay in Santa Fe. The property Is located up the hill from all the galleries in canyon road. The final few roads were a bit narrow but we had no issues in a SUV except on a day we got heavy snow. Chains or a 4x4 would be required when it’s slippery. The house is spacious with two bedrooms and a day bed in the office. The fire place was nice with the cold weather and fire wood can be purchased around the city. They property is divided into three units with this one being largest and having the best views. We didn’t hear any of the neighbors. The driveway is shared with the back neighbor. Parking would easily accommodate two vehicles and possibly a third. The kitchen has all the basics and all the appliances worked. Overall we entered our stay and would love to visit again.

Great visit! Suggest cleaning shower head in master bathroom- suspect grains of sand are blocking and misdirecting some of the water.

Had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at the Hummingbird in Santa Fe. It is in a beautiful setting with lovely views from the porch. The amenities cold not have been better.

I believe the lock on the front door needs attention. It often took four or more tries to get it to lock. While the kitchen was well-equipped, some storage containers (tupperware, gladware, zip-top bags) would have been a nice touch. Overall, the property is lovely, especially the outdoor spaces, the very nice kitchen, and all the comfortable seating, both indoors and out.

Sooooooo much better than being in a hotel. It was my first time to rent a house and it was recommended by a friend of mine, Sue. It's even lovelier than the pictures! You must have had a decorating genius to select all the beautiful items in the house. It was like staying in a show home, yet it was cozy and inviting. Staying at The Hummingbird was such a rich experience for us 5 girls. For me, it was more fun than the food, shopping, and museums of Santa Fe! If we hadn't stayed there, we wouldn't have experienced the cool breezes on the peaceful porch, seen the hummingbirds, had a quiet place to congregate for our evening meditation sessions, and to fix our own breakfasts and have a glass of wine in the evening. What a treasure! Many thanks to Will for responding immediately to my questions and being so helpful. I was very impressed with everything !!

The only blip in our stay was when the owner wanted the landscaper to work 4-5 days on the property during our stay. Once we realized the extent of the work, and balked, the Two Casitas staff was very supportive and put an end to the plan. Thank you!

We have loved ALL FIVE times we've stayed in Hummingbird! We appreciate the location, the space, the comfort, the furnishings, the decor, the kitchen, the cleanliness, the VIEW, the interesting and well-stocked library, the art, the deck, the landscaping, and the FITTED BOTTOM KING SHEET!! We are already looking forward to our next stay in May 2019! Many thanks for your good help in making this home available. P.S. There's no special box for suggestions so I'll use this space to suggest that there be a couple of extra blankets available. There have been in the past, but this time I had to "borrow" a blanket from the guest bedroom to use in the master bedroom when we needed just a bit more warmth. A couple of inexpensive, washable, fleece throws might be the answer. Also, we have taken to bringing our own Top King Sheet each time we come so we can be sure that there is plenty of room to tuck it in at the bottom (Land's End brand, of course, since they are generous in size). Perhaps the owner might consider completing the sheet situation in the master bedroom. It would save us room in our baggage and be much appreciated. Thanks for hearing me out on this. It's been the only hitch in our sleeping comfort and seems like a reasonable request to have sheets that truly fit the bed with its extra deep mattress. Again, many thanks for obtaining the fitted king sheet this past visit. We got much better sleep after its arrival—and that's an important vacation ingredient for us!
