The town is lovely and the apartment well-situated and bright - but lots of room for improvement.
The central location is excellent and the apartment is light and bright with a balcony overlooking the church- good to watch the swifts circulating.The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area well furnished; the shower room is separate from the wc -although the shower sometimes got blocked. Good basic layout withtwo separate bedrooms. We were met by an agent from Morbihan Concierge who let us in and explained how things worked.
The entrance to the apartment is quite dismal and smelly as the garbage store is located here. It can be hard to open the front door- we mentioned this to the agents but this is not something they can change.
Some of the furniture is quite flimsy or broken: the old chest of drawers in the double bedroom needs repairing or replacing as two of the drawers don't open; the small living room has a stained couch and two cheap conservatory chairs one of which was wonky.
We stayed for a month but there was no automatic arrangement for a change of towels or bedlinen.
The store cupboard is a mess.
With a little more money spent on upgrading this apartment it could be really lovely. It's probably fine for a short visit.

Décevant.
L.emplacement au centre-ville d’Auray.
L’absence d’accueil par la Conciergerie du Morbihan qui gère l’appartement. Le RV a été pris la veille. Il fallait donner une tranche horaire sur Booking puis confirmer le jour-même par téléphone l’heure à laquelle nous arrivions sur Auray , une fois que nous dépassions Rennes. Ce que j’ai fait mais la Conciergerie n’était plus disponible pour nous accueillir car ils avaient d’autres clients et nous avons dû aller récupérer les clés à leur bureau.
L’appartement est exactement comme sur les photos mais n’est pas isolé ni au niveau phonique ni thermique. La chambre double est mitoyenne à l’appartement voisin, j’entendais le réveil sonner à 5h30-6h du matin et les gens dévaler les escaliers. Aucune insonorisation!!!
On entend tous les bruits de l’immeuble, ce qui se passe dans la cage d’escalier car en plus la porte d’entrée de l’appartement est une simple porte en bois et n’est pas sécuritaire.
De plus, il a fait un temps froid et humide. Ce qui ne nous a pas aidé car les fenêtres sont à simple vitrage donc laissent passer tous les courants d’air, les volets laissent passer les rais de lumière avec le lever du soleil à 5h30, vous êtes réveillés.
La baie vitrée date aussi. Le salon est bruyant avec le passage des voitures dans la rue en contrebas et laisse aussi passer les courants d’air.
Un débarras dans l’appartement pas rangé. Inadmissible.
Il n’y avait pas de chauffage d’appoint, les radiateurs étaient fermés par des colliers de serrage!!!!
Une fuite d’eau dans les toilettes sous la plinthe derrière la cuvette signalée le lendemain de notre arrivée à la conciergerie qui nous a répondu avoir fait appel à un plombier que nous n’avons jamais vu et qui ne devait venir qu’après notre départ, ce que nous avons su le jour de notre départ.
Sur le site, il est noté « terrasse ». Ce qui n’est pas le cas. C’est un simple balcon.
