Good location and spacious apartment, but unfortunately poorly maintained and very different from the listing photos

Good location if you’re down to using public transports. Approachable host, spacey

Unfortunately, our experience with this apartment was very disappointing, and the property was not in the condition shown in the Booking.com photos. The apartment is considerably more deteriorated than the listing suggests, and the bathroom in particular looks very different from the photos. Most importantly, the apartment had clearly not been properly cleaned before our arrival. We found dirty dishes, dirty drawers and surfaces, hair and debris in the drains, stained furniture, and generally poor standards of cleanliness. After we complained, the host arranged for a cleaning team to come to the apartment. While the apartment was eventually cleaned, we had to spend around three hours of our vacation staying in the apartment while the cleaning team did work that should have been completed before our arrival. We found this extremely disrespectful of our time, especially considering we had paid for accommodation that was supposed to be clean and ready when we checked in. Unfortunately, the problems went beyond cleanliness. We also experienced blocked drains/plumbing, lack of hot water, and a bathtub that became blocked twice, leaving us having to deal with and remove the accumulated water ourselves. Several electrical outlets did not work. The bedroom door would not close properly, which created a significant privacy issue for the people staying there, and we were unable to open the bathroom door several times due to problems with the door handle. Overall, there was a clear discrepancy between the property advertised on Booking.com and the apartment we actually received. The property is much more worn and poorly maintained than the photographs suggest, and the cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly affected our stay. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property in its current condition, and I strongly believe the listing and photographs should be updated to accurately reflect the reality of the accommodation.
