In addition to excellent transportation connections, this includes proximity to the city center, the bike station, the Haltern am See train station, and the bus station. You can reach all major destinations in the area via the bus routes. Various themed bike trails pass right by, such as the Römer-Lippe Route. Our recommended cycling tours from Haltern am See—H6—take you to the Haltern Reservoir, the beach, and the Westruper Heide. The Roman Museum is about 1 km away. In the beautiful old town, you’ll find numerous shops for strolling and daily shopping. By train, you can also easily reach various cities in the Ruhr region with their remarkable monuments to industrial culture. Don’t miss a visit to the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex (Essen) or the Nordsternpark Coal Mine (Gelsenkirchen).

The apartment is located above a doner kebab shop and an ice cream parlor. The train station is right across the street, yet there is no noise disturbance. There is a school next to the apartment, but that causes no disturbance either. It is clean and spacious, with everything needed for cooking and plenty of towels. The shower area is a bit cramped, however, because the toilet is right opposite it.
