About this apartment rental
In this listing, you’re booking the first-floor apartment with a balcony. The lower apartment can be booked separately and is listed in a different ad.
If you’d like to vacation with friends, feel free to book both apartments—then nothing will stand in the way of a great vacation with friends.
The apartment features a large living room with an integrated, fully equipped kitchen and a dining area for six people. From here, you can step directly onto the balcony and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful scenery. If needed, the couch can be converted into a wide, comfortable sleeper sofa in just a few simple steps (the bedding is already made up and stored in the bed cabinet). Two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower complete the apartment.
Bed linens, bath towels, hand towels, soap, and toilet paper are included and do not need to be brought with you. This lightens your vacation luggage.
The large sun terrace invites you to linger. It features two separate barbecue areas, so each apartment has its own cozy outdoor furniture. Each area includes a table with six chairs and chair cushions, a parasol, and a grill or fire pit. Enjoy cozy barbecue evenings or simply a glass of wine in a dreamlike setting. When the sun is shining, it’s wonderful to relax on one of our comfortable sun loungers. Have a cup of coffee in the afternoon in front of our rustic alpine hut and let your mind wander. What more could you ask for?
Lake Diemelsee is just a five-minute walk from our apartment, taking you right to the newly built lakeside promenade. Wonderful hikes, bike rides, and mountain bike tours around the Diemelsee National Park region can start right at your doorstep.
There’s a great playground nearby, so even the little ones will have a blast. There’s also a mini-golf course and a cozy restaurant on the street.
The Diemelsee region is a very diverse vacation destination with a wide range of recreational activities. Here you can hike, bike, mountain bike, swim, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The new lakeside promenade is perfect for delightful walks around the lake. The lake itself is ideal for boating or canoeing, diving in the diving cove, surfing, or fishing. There’s also a SUP rental shop nearby.
In the town itself, you’ll find restaurants, a tourist information center with a Visionarium, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with a sauna area, and a mini-golf course.
The beach is, of course, also great family fun for the kids. There are also several playgrounds and two dog-friendly beaches.
The well-known vacation and winter ski resort of Willingen is just a ten-minute drive away. Here you’ll find ski lifts, cable cars, an ice rink, a lagoon-style pool, a summer toboggan run, a bike park, a movie theater, a climbing gym, a bowling alley, and much more. The town is also known for its annual ski cup and its lively nightlife, featuring many bars and pubs.
A major tourist attraction is the new Skywalk, the longest suspension bridge in Germany. You won’t soon forget the spectacular crossing of this bridge.
Other excursion options include the county seat of Korbach, the beautiful royal seat of Bad Arolsen, or a trip to Winterberg or Medebach. In the neighboring town of Adorf, there’s a great visitor mine.
The Diemelsee region is ideal for winter sports enthusiasts due to its proximity to Willingen. In winter, many groomed trails invite visitors to go cross-country skiing, and various ski lifts are available for downhill skiing. The town is also known for its après-ski scene and its many bars and restaurants.
So there’s something for everyone, young and old alike. Whether summer or winter, the Sauerland is a great experience any time of year.
