I didn't know what to expect coming into Sunrise Beach Motel since I had read both very positive reviews as well as some pretty scathing ones. But my experience was excellent. We were given a nicely rehabbed 2nd story room overlooking Lake Huron with beautiful views of the bridge and surrounding islands. Our room had the pinewood paneling on the walls and new LVP flooring. The beds made a spring sound when you moved around, but nothing too bad. Everything was clean. The handle on our sliding patio door was broken but could still be used. Although a free breakfast was not provided, they did give you coupons for a BOGO breakfast buffet (we did the one at Toast A Go-Go, which was excellent! Be sure to have the coupons because they won't give you the discount without it each day. Grab as many as you need.) The bathroom was small but clean. The only thing I could gripe about was that the shower water had a fishy smell to it, almost like it was coming from the lake, and the hot water came in unexpected bursts. A minor gripe. Overall, for the price I paid for two nights, I was very pleased with my stay and would stay there again.

Great view of the bridge. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Sliding glass door was a little hard to open, but works.
