First time in Istanbul, and man this was a great choice for hotel!
The location, perfect for grabbing quick bites from local vendors, close to metro and train if you choose to use them (the nearby university station is great!). It's also close to some main roads so using Uber for those longer rides is pretty convenient.
Hotel staff is amazing! They helped us arrange boat tour at an amazing price, with full service driver and dinner onboard the cruise. What an amazing choice it was to take their word that it's worth doing. No amount of searching online on those tour websites could ever get you that level of experience for the price and convenience they offered.
Room was pretty clean and spacious. AC was pretty good during the night, I usually put the temp to 16-18C and in this room I couldn't go lower than 20C without feeling cold. The pools, esp. the roof pool was a really good thing to have during those hot days we stayed.
Restaurant has tasty food of all kind. After trying out the various street food and other restaurants in the city, we kept coming back to this one. It's definitely pricier than alternatives, but well worth it imo. Service was also pretty good.

Staff were friendly and helpful in resolving a room issue which was dealt with promptly and without inconvenience or fuss. There was a good breakfast selection and we found the hotel location excellent for the old town tourist attractions. The only minor negative was the late night noise from surrounding bars but this is unavoidable in such a central location and was not overall too detrimental to our stay.
