Moxy Essen City

This is a great property located near the city center. Excellent place to stay in Essen

Perfect hotel, location right by the central station, clean and stylish, bed is comfy. What more could one ask for!

Great location and value for money, friendly staff and would stay here again

Our stay at Moxy Essen City turned out to be significantly inconsistent with what was advertised. Upon our arrival at around 11:30 PM, the reception area was completely deserted, despite a 24-hour front desk service being explicitly guaranteed. Attempts to contact the staff by phone were entirely unsuccessful as the hotel line was constantly busy. The attendant finally appeared after a wait of more than fifteen minutes, excusing his absence by explaining that he was working completely alone and had to step away. The disorganization continued once we reached our room, where we discovered there was no kettle. The property's description on Expedia explicitly states that coffee and tea makers are included in all rooms. However, when we raised this issue with the front desk, the staff simply responded that kettles are not provided in the rooms at all, completely disregarding the discrepancy between the actual amenities and what is officially advertised online. Further compromising our stay was the discomfort of the bed, which proved highly inadequate for a restful night. Overall, the experience was deeply disappointing due to service failures, misleading information, and a general lack of comfort.
