Wonderful property and a wonderful place to stay. It felt like home. The dog accommodations were a huge plus. Being able to fully fence in the yard was so nice. Gorgeous views, close to town and easily accessible for any needs or wants!

On the positive side, the hot tub was really nice and clean. The bedding was fresh, the beds were very comfortable, and the lounge area provided a great place to relax. The host was also communicative and helpful when we had a front door issue probably related to humidity. However, there were multiple areas where the property fell a little short including cleanliness of the walls in the kitchen and bathrooms. We also encountered a significant ant issue in the kitchen forcing us to seal all food and leave absolutely no fruits on the counter. The carpeted areas show significant signs of wear. The dishwasher's upper tray was broken and had obviously been that way for some time, which should have been repaired. The listing states there is water access, but future guests should be aware it involves nearly 200 stairs one way, followed by a rocky path at the bottom. This is common for the area and not unexpected. We did access and enjoy the water.

We have stayed here the past 2 years. This year there was a new dock. The dock is amazing. Overall the house is nice. This year we had more people staying so the one bathroom stayed busy! My family enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to fix your meals if you choose to cook. The host is super easy to contact and communicate with.

Our goal was to enjoy nature and family in a peaceful environment. This place delivered just that. The location is just off tge beaten path but remains close enough to run to town and grab all essentials. 158 steps to the lake that my kids did not mind one bit and fishing was actually pretty good right off the dock catching large and small mouth bass, walleye and stripers. Centralized location allowed us to explore a large variety of bucket list destinations like lake cumberland, cumberland falls, yahoo falls and tons of other places in just a few days stay. The house has everything to create a memorable family stay, bon fire, yard games, and many inside games. Modernized enough yet still gives you a cabin/ weekend lake getaway vibe. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
