-The open style with nature inside
-Very comfortable bed
Of course you need to like an open room, with the noise of animals at night and in the morning, which I love.
-Unfortunately the lady that received us did not appear too happy with our arrival. I wrote via booking twice, to inform of our late arrival due to traffic in Cebu, and apologized for the late arrival (11pm). However, despite this, we didn’t feel very welcomed.
-The toilet did not flush.
-We asked to have transport organized in the morning, and the lady suggested 7.45am pick up. When we left the room at 8am, we were told that the driver had left, but nobody told us that the driver had arrived. The lady quickly organized a tricycle for us, but with the surprise that when we arrived to our destination (8min away from the accommodation), the price we were asked was 200PHP (I don’t think this was the accommodation problem, but in other accommodations we have been told how much would be the normal price for a short distance)
-The breakfast time starts at 8am and they don’t accommodate earlier breakfast, so if you have an earlier activity (like we did for diving) breakfast is not an option.
In general the feeling was that we were not very well received.

The reception staff was awful, she knew we were checking in and yet she disappear. We had to ring the bell multiple times and when she appeared, she was relatively nice at first, saying she would do a briefing first before she checked us in however she was informing us of travel tours/offers they have and when we told her, we already booked us tours, her demeanor and toned completely changed to relatively friendly to indifference. Really awful reception cause when we got to the room cause we just got back from our island tours and we wanted to take a shower, toiletries were not provided. OK, I understand that if they don’t include it but when we were asking her, she kept walking away instead of addressing our concerns.

Bungalows clean with outside bathroom, smiling staff, very good and cheap meals, possibility to rent a scooter, etc... Perfect for a few days! CAN BE RECOMMENDED!
Away from it all... hence perhaps its charm :-)

the staff made our stay easy and smooth. Our favourite thing was the vegan turmeric soup, and healthy nutritious food is not easy to find in general. Very Cosy, comfortable, good vibes, off the main strip of Panasagma Beach but can be there within minutes on a tuk tuk or motorbike.
no AC.

A true tropical experience to stay at Herbs guest house. We really enjoyed being close to nature with visits and shared living with hermit crabs, toads, chicks (just hatched and so adoreable!) and geckos to mention a few. The bed is comfy and it’s very nice with the Balinese shower and toilet.
It was easy to rent motorbike to get into the busy Panagsama road, or to get a tricycle, and to rent equipment for snorkelling, the staff is very helpful.
The water in our sink was a little smelly sometimes, and also the breakfast menu was not very wide.

Incredible restaurant and sweet helpful kind staff! I loved this comfortable guest house stay
Nothing except the location is a tiny bit off the beaten path from town which is nice for quiet but unfortunately not also by any beach- best to have your own transport or rent motorbike if you can drive em solo haha

Nice attentive staff & owner. Free water. Comfy bed & spacious room.
Very nice garden area & good food! Loved the breakfast bowl.
Shower limp is not that great & and the bins in the room could be cleaned everyday given nothign can be dumped into the toilet (obviously fine & very common in the PHP) which was not done once during our stay (3 days). But these are minor details.

Looks like pictures except more aged - needs some love and care. Clear notes sent ahead of time - price of trike twas helpful. Rustic bungalows in a local area with local families near by. Internet available in restaurant - was consistent and restaurant was usually empty and quiet. In dining area there is internet access, outlets for charging devices and fans. Restaurant opens at 6 pm for dinner. Breakfast is from 8 am - 10. Options are yogurt, homemade granola, fresh fruits or a tipico breakfast. Snacks' are shakshuka and a chicken sandwich. Food is healthy and delicious. Bungalow is a local style made from woven sides and a roof made from natural materials with ceiling fan. Lamps on each side of bed as well as outlets. Bathroom is spacious. Shower has strong pressure and warm/hot water - the less pressure, the more hot water. 'Basdiot beach (250 feet) - very small beach; could walk out for snorkeling and swimming - quiet, peaceful. We sat on concrete steps and watched the local boats, diving boats, scuba divers and waves. Quiet at night. The view from inside our bungalow (looking out the open door) is paradise - beautiful foliage. There was access to cold filtered water all day.
We paid about $50 per day - too expensive for where we were. For that price snorkeling gear should be included as well as beach towels. No hammock on porch of bungalow - swinging cloth chair. The terrace with hammocks is right behind restaurant not private. The tiled terrace is a bit broken, no hammocks set up - Kiki offered to set up, but never did. Can rent a motorbike for 500 pesos a day - given 'bike' helmets not motorcycle helmets, gas gauge was broken and the left side mirror was too loose and not able to be used. Internet available in restaurant, not in bungalow. Breakfast options (2) always the same. Toilet has clean water leaking at base. Towels are thin and a bit scratchy and don’t dry skin effectively. We had read in communication sent to us "Our sales corner and souvenir shop offers all what you need for your stay: eco soaps, bamboo toothbrushes, bamboo straws, bamboo cutlery, jute and katsa products and many more." The 'sales corner' - was lacking and needs TLC. We were excited to peruse the natural made products - there weren’t any. The staff is reactive rather than proactive - guests have to ask for what needs to be done: fix door so it can be locked from inside, fix mosquito net with large hole, to get toilet paper, to have mosquito repellent coil lit.

Lovely team takes care of you on each aspect and quickly finds solutions for every request. Generous breakfasts, amazing on site kitchen which made us eat almost every meal - lots of flavors and imagination :)
Big bed which is unusual in bungalows.
Scooter rental is simply on site so no problem about that.
Convenient proximity to dive centers, nice Cafe nearby and cosy garden around the place.
Absolutely recommended!

Very homey and pleasant. The owner and the staff were very hospitable and friendly. ❤️ The food though — aside from the accessible location to the turtle sanctuary — the FOOD topped the experience. Fresh ingredients from the garden… the mix of flavorful herbs was astounding. The place has the best vibes for some RnR.

Everything was amazing.
Sabine, Kiko and there staff are so nice and the place is very relaxed.
You always feel like home at Herbs Guesthouse:)
They had really good tips for us and you rent a scooter at the place for a fair price.
The rooms are clean, the water is warm and the food is amazing.
You can see the love that they put in this place :)
The breakfast: You get a baguette with egg and different marmelades and a power bowl with fruits and granola.
It was a perfect stay and if we come again, we will defenetly stay here again :)
Nothing at all. It was perfect :)

Everything about herbs was great. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. The room was lovely (especially the bathroom) - the bed was really comfortable and clean and we loved the porch to our hut. Kiko’s cooking was the best in Moalboal. We had 1 lunch and 2 dinners there during our long weekend. He is amazing at creating excellent flavours in his dishes. We would absolutely recommend they feta chicken, lemongrass chicken and his famous salads. We’ll be back to try the Tom yum next time! We also rented a scooter for 2 days of our stay which worked really well.

The place is for those who want to relax and unwind. The place is quiet and has all the essentials of a traveler looking to detach from city luxuries. The luxury part comes in with the welcoming owners, staff, and the food will bring you back to your childhood! Laid back and feels like a second home for me. ❤️ Loyal guest here!

Super friendly staff and the owners. Walking distance to the beach where you can find healthy reefs. Quiet place to relax. Tasty homemade food herbs are freshly picked from their garden. Nice ambiance.
Low phone signal it means slow to no internet connection but it doesn’t have to do with the property 😊

The general mood of the guest house was very nice, great staff, the free breakfast was pretty good (butter, jam, toast, coffee, tea) and fresh everyday (you can order omelets, fried and boiled eggs if you want to pay extra) . You could take products from the bar at any hour (chips, noodles, cookies, beer, water, fruits, natural juice) and write them down on your designated notebook and at the end of the stay, you would pay for the products (nobody checks you, they have good faith in you and that was a nice touch from my point of view). The shared bathroom for the bungalows area was very, very nice - it has an open ceiling and fresh flowers from a big tree would fall on you while taking a shower, it was a nice experience.
The area is very good, near a snorkeling beach and near other nice areas to see in Cebu. We rented motorbikes almost everyday from the Guest house.
Also, if you forget something at home (toothbrushes, female necessities, shampoo, trousers, hair oil, etc) you can buy them from the location. Every bungalow has a beach bag that you can take on the beach if you forget yours at home.
The bungalows are very comfy, clean and nicely decorated (they need more storage space for the clothes and basic toiletries, but they were great nonetheless).
There are 2 restaurants very close to the guesthouse, walking distance, with great tasting food and you can even order from them and they will bring the food at your stay.
Would definitely recommend this. We were a big group - 11 people - we all felt comfy and welcomed. We've stayed after at a luxurious hotel in Coron, but to be hones, I felt way better and welcomed here at Herbs.
Poor signal for the wifi internet (but this it's the same in all Moalboal and Philippines, so it's just normal this way, I guess)
More storage space is needed for longer stays (closets, more tables, hangers, etc) in the bungalows.
Other than this, everything was great!

Every rooms has its own details. They have a big mosquito net which covers the whole bed. It's definitely necessary because the bungalows are kind of open (ceiling). They have a great service and if you want they take care if everything (renting scooters, activities, even ordering food). Breakfast is basic but good. Try the mango jam ;)
It was a bit laid back but therefore it's close to the ocean and quiet.

Also really good is that the bed has its own mosquito net which covers it completely.

Price was amazing, and cute little rooms. A Restaurant about 5min walk down the road which was really good. The location to beach access was awesome. Turtles just a few meters away.
Bathrooms are shared and kinda outside. But they have a bit of a smell to them.
