BEWARE good location if that's most important. . .

Location was excellent for town and walking distance to Plaisance and all the restaurants. Was able to park within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Had kitchen well set up. Easy to access.

Long black hairs everywhere. Photos were NOT of current condition. There was food on fridge door and cabinets. We were only provided bath towel and a kitchen drying towel. No hand towels, no bath mat, no soap, no toilet roll holder. Toilet paper had to be located on bathroom basin. The toilet was so close to the basin it was not easy to access. The mattress needs replaced, even with a topper we kept rolling into the middle of the bed. Worse was the bar/night club across the road. Opened at 1130pm and closed at 530am. Saturday night was filled with loud music, people screaming at each other and with the heat,we had to leave the windows open, which meant we had extreme noise til almost 6am. Granted the bar is out of the apartment owners control, but a warning on booking.com, I would have steered clear to begin with. The combination of bar/music noise and uncomfortable bed, impacted our ability to enjoy our stay in Caen.

Think before I stay in Caen

Being close to all the restaurants.

Owner should have given me information about not to park at the 24 hour car park on a Saturday as Sunday is a farmers market and the police remove all vehicles parked in the area. Also there was a 24hour kebab shop below the apartment which I did not know about and young students and pub goers did not respect the home owners or guests in the apartments with loud noice and using the door ways as toilets. Maybe did not help staying in Caen over the finals of the football but would have liked a better night sleep and not fight with police to return my car before my early morning ferry.

Cosy little apartment. Great location, could do with a freshen up

Great city centre location

The beds were uncomfortable

6 / 10
