Postcard views & peaceful setting, but the stay was significantly let down by cleanliness

We enjoyed the postcard views, the peace and quiet, and the generous amount of space throughout the property. Having so much room for our luggage and family needs made the stay especially comfortable and convenient.

A few things are worth noting for future guests. For anyone travelling with a stroller, the walk into town is manageable if you are comfortable hiking and the incline is not especially difficult, but road portions had no sidewalk, which families should be aware of. Communication was disappointing. We asked where we could purchase pods for the apartment’s very unique coffee machine, as it was not Nespresso, for extra dishwasher powder since we were washing infant bottles, and whether an electric kettle was available. These messages went unanswered. We were happy to buy coffee pods as none were provided at check-in. There were also only three small rolls of toilet paper for a 5-night stay, requiring us to purchase more. The biggest concern was cleanliness. There was debris on the kitchen counter, the floors turned the bottoms of our white socks black, and when I lifted the toilet seat I came into contact with feces left on an uncleaned area of the toilet. We also noticed that beneath the pillowcases, the pillows were visibly stained yellow. On our first evening, we mistakenly left a croissant in a paper bag on the counter while we walked into town & returned to 100's of ants throughout the kitchen. While leaving food out was our mistake, several windows did not appear to fully seal, allowing insects to enter easily. We raised the cleaning concerns on the first night, and a cleaner was sent the following day. While this was eventually addressed, we had to wait until around midday for an update and then arrange to be out of the apartment for the afternoon. The Wi-Fi was another significant issue. Speeds were 3–10 Mbps & uploads <1 Mbps, which was not sufficient for reliable work, video meetings or streaming, so we relied on our own cellular data. At checkout, we asked for a partial refund given the severity of the issues.
