Terrible host with poor communication, not helping their client and apologizing instead of helping.

The shade which basically turns the apartment pitch black, and the close proximity to my partner... that's literally it. Terrible, terrible host, we even had to clean our own apartment, bringing a broom and a mop to make the place liveable...

I arrived in Paris at noon, and the host told me the apartment would be ready only at 4 pm, which is fine as it was agreed upon. At 3 pm, after I was already on my way to the location, the host tells me it'll be ready at 6 pm, not before, due to the fact that previous clients hadn't vacated the premises early enough. We were left with no option but to wait around an extra two hours, scrapping our evening. We arrived at around 5:30 - 5:40 pm hoping we could get in early, but no response from the host. At around 6:05, we finally got the codes for the gate and the keys, and there never was anyone who left the premises or walked out the front from the time we arrived to the time we walked in. When we did finally get in, we were greeted with an apartment that not only was dirty, but hadn't or barely had been cleaned. The floors had so much dust in it, my white socks turned black in a minute of walking around. The bed had a bunch of dust on it, and every surface was dusty, from the table to the kitchen counter top. There was no hand soap for the bathroom, despite the host telling me it was in the "closet" and the drawers were all empty. The cleanliness of the apartment made me seriously doubt the integrity of the host, and his "cleaning staff" who never seemed to have been present... When I brought this all up to the host, they simply apologized, and never offered to have the apartment cleaned, or any compensation offered. Also, with the heat wave hitting Paris, it was around 38-40c in the apartment, and apart from the windows which could only be half opened due to the placement of the bed, there was 0 ventilation in the apartment. When I asked if they could bring at the very least a fan, they said "they would look into it and get back to me with an answer", which they never did... Finally, all the dishes were absolutely disgusting and dirty, with dust everywhere, the sink was leaking, and we had to repair it.

A great place to stay if you're planning to travel and won't be spending much time at the property.

- close to the train station and tram. - local shops less than 2 minutes walk. - the host was quick with replies and able to help with issues such as the wifi.

- there is no aircon in the property. - there’s a weird smell coming from the bathroom. - the front door can be tricky to lock/unlock.
