La Casina di Lù is a charming studio apartment located in the historic center of Catania, just 280 meters from Castello Ursino. It’s a place where you can feel right at home, whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, offering a quiet space to relax and enjoy your stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Partially renovated, it’s ideal for two people but can accommodate up to four. The studio overlooks a partially private inner courtyard, where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee outdoors or smoke a cigarette. Smoking is not permitted inside the studio.
The entrance opens into the living area, where you’ll find a comfortable sofa bed (which can be converted as needed), a flat-screen TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, a refrigerator with freezer, an induction cooktop, a kettle, a coffee machine, a French press for traditionalists, a small electric oven, and a washing machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is the bathroom with a shower, equipped with towels, a hair dryer, and a first-aid kit.
On the open loft, you’ll find the master bedroom with a comfortable bed, complete with bedding, a closet, a dresser, and two nightstands. La Casina di Lù enjoys plenty of sunlight; it does not have independent heating, but air conditioning is available. Free high-speed Wi-Fi.
The neighborhood is well-served by numerous accommodations, pubs, and traditional trattorias where you can enjoy local dishes, as well as pharmacies. You can park for free on the street, and there is a paid, secure parking lot about 200 meters away. In just a few minutes on foot, you can reach Catania Cathedral, the fish market, the Greek Theater, Giovanni Verga’s birthplace, and Via Etnea for shopping.
Catania Airport is just 4.5 km away and can be easily reached in 10 minutes by car or public transportation, while the Central Train Station and the bus station are 2 km away—about a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute ride by public transportation. From the Central Station, you can reach major tourist destinations such as Syracuse, Taormina, Mount Etna, Noto, Palermo, Agrigento, and more by train or bus.
