Meiamù (meaning “My Love” in the local dialect) is a charming, newly renovated two-room apartment with a fantastic terrace offering views of the city’s rooftops, the sea, and the silhouette of the nearby French Riviera. The apartment is located in the heart of Bordighera’s charming and lively historic center, home to many excellent restaurants.
The apartment is just a short walk from the main square, yet in a secluded and quiet location. Modern and cozy, it’s perfect for two to three people, but can accommodate up to four. The spacious bedroom, partially divided by a half-wall, features a double bed and a single bed, while the living room has a single sofa bed (100x200 mattress) that can accommodate a fourth person. The two-room apartment, approximately 35 square meters, features a large terrace (about 25 square meters) that is partially covered, with a small outdoor kitchen, sun loungers, a shower, and a table and chairs for romantic moonlit dinners, as well as an adjoining small room.
PLEASE NOTE: This accommodations are suitable only for active and fit individuals because it is located on the third floor without an elevator: there are 50 steps to climb, so you must be prepared to tackle this small daily challenge. To reach the terrace, you must climb another ten steps.
The apartment features air conditioning and heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite TV and international channels, high-speed Wi-Fi (200 Mbps or faster), a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a washing machine. The bathroom has a spacious shower and a toilet with a handheld showerhead. Linens for the bed, kitchen, and bathroom are provided and included in the price.
About a hundred meters from the house, you’ll find a large parking lot—partly paid and partly free with a parking disc (parking allowed for 6 hours in the summer; no time limit during other seasons). The beaches and downtown can be reached with a short walk (downhill on the way there and, of course, uphill on the way back).
For your arrival, we advise against bringing heavy and bulky suitcases, as they would make navigating the stairs difficult: it’s better to divide your luggage among lighter, more manageable backpacks and carry-on luggage.
NOTE: The City of Bordighera requires payment of a tourist tax. The tax (1.50 per day for the first six days of your stay; children under 12 are exempt) will be collected during your stay.
