Unsafe for littles, uncomfortable furniture and beds. No hot tub.
We were incredibly disappointed with our stay and would not return. The property was not clean — we found dead flies in the windows, dust bunnies under and around furniture, and the floors left our feet black with dirt. The patio furniture was filthy, the shelves were dusty, and the sliding glass door hadn’t been cleaned in a long time (our child even found a small magnet inside the door track).
The listing advertised a hot tub, but there was none when we arrived. The bathtubs were grimy and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned. We tried using the jacuzzi tub, but when we ran the water, it was full of floating dirt and bugs — absolutely unusable.
There was no mention in the listing that there was no central heating or AC. Instead, we were instructed to open the windows. For a place advertised as “kid-friendly,” it was far from safe. Outlets were missing covers, all blinds had long dangling cords, the oven couldn’t be locked, and there were oddly placed handicap rails in the master bedroom at head-height for toddlers.
The door lock was incredibly frustrating. Our code included the number 7, which was faulty and took several tries to register. Locking and unlocking the door also required tugging it just right, which was a pain every time we left or came back.
While the home claimed to be pet-friendly, the pet fee was outrageous — and we were still going to be charged even after explaining that our dogs are trained service animals.
The décor was extremely outdated and odd. A mini fishing pole with sharp hooks was left within reach of children — and instead of removing it, the host simply taped over the hooks. The furniture felt like leftover flea market pieces. One electric recliner was plugged into the floor, which we had to unplug and move to keep our kids from accessing exposed cords.
We also found it strange that we couldn’t use the garage at all. The kitchen, though described as fully equipped, was just full of random, mismatched items.
