Unpleasant, dirty and a rip-off

The pictures on the wall and the shower

The bed was terrible, it had a foam mattress really uncomfortable. On top of it, itwas a 135cm bed and they did not provide anything else despite of telling we were a couple abs a baby. The unit was dirty: a bottle of water empty from the previous tenant under the TV furniture, a dead cockroach under the sofa, the sofa was dirty and full of sand, there was a hair in a vase next to it a wrapper or a candy. The coffee machine did not work. The unit was at the street level and I could hear people in the terrace of the bar next door while we were in bed. On top of this I needed to wait almost for 1 hour to access the unit because I did not receive the SMS with the door codes. I have just received the SMS last night! So a week later. Upon contacting a couple of times the persons handling the phone number the provide he sent me the codes via WhatsApp

La experiencia en este alojamiento fue repugnante. Al principio parecía que todo estaba más o menos bien, hasta que fuimos a meternos en la cama y descubrimos que las sábanas estaban llenas de manchas, pelos púbicos y restos que parecían semen. Cuando se lo comunicamos al anfitrión, lo más inquietante fue que ni siquiera se sorprendió. No preguntó qué había pasado, no pidió fotos y tampoco se disculpó. Simplemente respondió por SMS que había otras sábanas en el armario. Después de ver el estado de la cama, ¿cómo íbamos a confiar en que las sábanas guardadas estuvieran limpias? Las toallas tampoco parecían recién lavadas. El piso entero estaba lleno de polvo y la sensación general era de suciedad y abandono. Finalmente tuvimos que dormir encima de nuestras propias toallas, utilizándolas como si fueran sábanas, porque nos daba demasiado asco tocar la ropa de cama. Pagamos por un alojamiento y acabamos durmiendo en unas condiciones completamente insalubres. Al terminar la estancia, reclamamos a Booking y presentamos fotografías de todo. En lugar de disculparse, devolver el dinero o asumir la mínima responsabilidad, el anfitrión decidió llamarnos mentirosas y acusarnos de haber hecho fiestas, gritado y causado problemas. Éramos una madre y una hija que habíamos viajado a Valencia por motivos médicos. No hicimos ninguna fiesta. Su respuesta fue ofensiva, absurda y un intento evidente de desacreditarnos para no responder por la falta de higiene. Además, el anfitrión ni siquiera atiende llamadas, únicamente se comunica mediante mensajes SMS, lo que lo hace todavía más inaccesible cuando surge un problema grave. Booking nos dio una compensación de 20 euros, pero eso no borra la sensación de asco, impotencia y humillación que vivimos. Jamás volveríamos. No recomendamos este alojamiento bajo ningún concepto. La limpieza era inaceptable y el trato del anfitrión, todavía peor.

Absolutely not worth the price in my honest opinion.

Booking.com should not be advertising this property. The photos are quite misleading and do not reflect the reality of the accommodation. This is actually a ground-floor space that is intended for commercial use rather than as a residential flat... You enter directly from the street into the unit, which has a flimsy front door that does not feel secure. There is also very limited natural light and ventilation, as the only openings are the front door and a small adjacent window. Cleanliness was poor, with a dead cockroach near the entrance and an unclean shower. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and unsuitable for sleeping. There was a strong artificial smell from a constantly running air freshener and heavily scented bedding. The space felt dusty, as both my partner and I experienced persistent coughing during the night, likely due to poor air quality or allergens.

Cockroaches.

Excellent location for Valencia marathon, 1k from start. Close to the park, supermarket and public transport options close by, easy to get round city from here. Has good shower. Induction hob, microwave and washing machine.

Cockroaches! Quite a lot. Bedsheets had white stains on. Had to make more than one contact to get the door code to let us in, received at 17.04 on check in day. The owners request communication away from booking.com message system. It doesn't feel secure. The door opens with a key code, there is no secondary door lock, e.g. a bar/chain to lock it from the inside and it a ground floor flat immediately off the road. There is a small gap between the door and frame. A second lock that you can use from the inside would give peace of mind.

La limpieza una basura. Había una botella de agua vacía debajo del mueble de la tele (que debía ser de los anteriores huéspedes), también nos encontramos UNA CUCARACHA y ya me dio mucho asco dormir ahí menos mal que solo era una noche, además, en la cama daba asco porque se nota la poca higiene que había que la cama tenía hasta pelos. En fin, que si quieres ir una semana o más de un dia no te lo recomiendo nada. Adjunto foto de la cucaracha
