What happens when a New York architecture firm reimagines a Provençal villa? Here, you can't only see the result, but also spend your vacation there yourself.
Just 400 meters from Valbonne’s market square, yet as peaceful as the countryside. With a south-facing orientation that guarantees sunshine at any time of day or year. The pool house provides shade when the sun gets too intense.
The flat, nearly 2,000-square-meter lot is just as perfect for relaxing as it is for running around and playing. And then, of course, there’s the spacious pool…
In the living room, the wide sliding doors bring the outdoors inside. A real wood fireplace adds to the cozy atmosphere. Or would you prefer a Netflix night on the panoramic TV?
The kitchen features a modern, open layout. But it faces stiff competition: Valbonne’s international restaurants are just a five-minute walk away. Or you can use the outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and enjoy the view of the illuminated garden from the covered outdoor dining area while listening to relaxing music (or the sound of crickets).
The Nice airport is only 25 minutes away. So are Cannes, Antibes, and Grasse, the city of perfumes. But do you really want to leave here…? If so: there’s plenty of space for three cars right in front of the house.
Upon your arrival, Alex, our charming hostess, will be there to welcome you, show you around the house, and, of course, share the best tips for exploring the area. Now all you have to do is decide who gets which room. The 37-square-meter Pool Suite with the 2 x 2 giant bed from B&B Italia and direct access to the pool? It has a separate entrance for maximum privacy. This is where the owners sleep when they’re on site. You enter the house via the outdoor terrace. Upstairs, there’s the 27-square-meter master bedroom with its open-concept bathroom and a canoe hanging from the ceiling, the Yellow Room with its own terrace, or the Garden Room with a view of the property. The fifth room measures 33 square meters and is set up by us as an office or nanny’s room. Here, too, access is from the outside via the terrace to allow for undisturbed work. Oh, and one more thing. Do you play tennis? The legendary Mouratouglou Academy is just a 15-minute drive away. Court reservations can be made externally. Golfers will find a variety of courses in Valbonne and neighboring Opio.
