It is with great consideration I am writing this email, but I must share my observations with you as our stay was that awful. Cleanliness The property was dirty, it has not been cleaned properly for months. The fridge and the bathrooms were filthy; to the extent that nobody had a shower for the entire stay. The surfaces and floors are dirty and full of dust. The property was that unclean we didn’t want to put our personal belonging down anywhere on the floor. The tipping point was that we received an email last Tuesday night stating we should leave it clean otherwise you reserve the right to deduct £100. The is an entirely reasonable request in principle, but ridiculous and infuriating given the state of the property when we arrived. Smell The smell of the property when we entered it took us all back and has been unbearable for our entire stay. I am not intending to be insulting but it was genuinely unbearable. The additional concern was the attempt to mask the smell with multiple air freshers which was harmful to my daughter’s dog and affected my wife’s COPD. Poorly equipped There was no handwash in all the toilets and no hand towels in the bathrooms. There was also no bin in the main bedroom/bathroom. Damaged items/non working items The list is significant… All taps drip (the one in the kitchen in essence continually runs). Multiple plug sockets don’t work Curtain poles hanging off the walls Wires showing everywhere Blinds you can’t open Decking – dangerous (I had to put a plant pot over one area of the decking which was really dangerous so nobody put their foot through it).

Lovely little cottage

Comfortable and cute cottage with spacious living spaces and a lovely garden. Nice and clean. Great location for the conference centre in Telford but you definitely need a car to access the property as it’s quite a ways down single track country road off a busy A-Road with no pavement. The owners communicated well.

There was no hand soap in the toilet or the en-suite bathroom. There were also no kitchen towels and no oven mitts making cooking and cleaning the kitchen a bit challenging.
