We stayed in this apartment for one night, from November 17 to 18. I will start my review by saying that check-in is only possible from 5:00 PM, which is later than the usual 2–3 PM. We arrived at 8:00 PM and, following the check-in instructions, went to the bar on the ground floor, where we were supposed to enter the code in the UPPER key box and take the key. Of course, the code didn’t work with the upper box. I first tried to send a message about this, but no one replied for more than 40 minutes. Then I called the phone number provided for contacting the property, but it only went to voicemail and was essentially not working. At first, we thought about waiting for a reply with the correct code for the UPPER key box, but as I mentioned above, no one responded. So I tried entering the code in all the other boxes one by one, and it finally worked in one of them. We took the keys and headed to the apartment for our long-awaited check-in. I would like to draw the attention of anyone planning to stay here to what awaits inside. The hosts are apparently big fans of heavy metal, skulls, and decorations with eagles resembling symbols similar to a swastika, and things of that sort. The apartment was very cold, because of course all the radiators were turned off. The floors, kitchen table, and bathroom were dirty. But the most serious problem was still ahead. As I mentioned earlier, we picked up the keys at Café Nord. This is a bar/restaurant where on Tuesday night extremely loud music was played until 2 AM — acoustic guitar, heavy rock, everything at full volume. We were very tired after a day of walking around Düsseldorf, but even in that state we couldn’t fall asleep because of the incredible noise coming from musical instruments, which felt as if it was coming from the room next door.
