Mirko was a fantastic host and incredibly helpful throughout my stay.
The bedroom was spotlessly clean and tidy, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. The shower had great water pressure, and I loved the light cotton towels, which dried very quickly. My window overlooked a secluded private garden, and on warm nights I could leave it open and fall asleep to the sound of crickets, then wake up to birdsong in the morning. It felt like being in the middle of a forest. There is also a wall fan to keep the air circulating, which was much appreciated.
The location is excellent. Despite being so close to everything, it is wonderfully quiet. All the main sights of the old city are within walking distance, and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.
I had an excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend La Colonna. I will definitely be back!

It was so quaint. I had a room with a large window over looking a private garden. So it felt safe, quiet, private and beautiful. The staff were so helpful. And the location was great — right in the middle of the city walls.

The hotel was in a great location both for travel around Lucca and to the train station. It was quiet inside at night and it was clean. It was well signposted as well. I enjoyed my stay here. Thank you.
