About this villa rental

Villa Volare is a splendid villa with the fascination of the typical and ancient mediterranean houses. It sleeps eight people. From Villa Volare you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea and of the coastline. Villa Volare is 160 square meters (1720 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, two wide private terraces with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the seventeenth-century historic center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus Positano - Praiano line at 120 meters (390 feet) and the closest beach (Marina di Praia Beach) at roughly 1 km (0.6 miles).
You will reach Villa Volare from the street level going up a 150-meters (490-feet) public walkway that includes approximately 62 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Volare. If you do have one, you will be able to park it for a fee, in one of the private parking lots of Praiano (pending availability).

Villa Volare is part of the historical center of Praiano, which consists of a cluster of white houses on the highest area of a steep slope of a hill overlooking the sea. The houses are nestled around the beautiful bell-tower and the eighteenth-century church of San Luca.

In this area of Praiano, almost all the houses date back to the eighteenth century. They feature white façades often decorated with stuccoes, patios below masonry arches sustaining terraces facing the sea, and sloping gardens filled with flowers and citrus trees around. To walk through such extraordinary village, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO, means climbing narrow stairways and pedestrian streets.

The whole area is made for pedestrians, except for the only access street to the main square. Here you will not find streets packed with tourists; all you will see are the kind inhabitants of the place. And you will be able to experience the fascination and authentic beauty of the Amalfi Coast: one not changed by the actions of tourism!

Villa Volare lies in a secluded position, having been built chiefly on a rocky steep slope. Once you have crossed the entrance gate, a beautiful white staircase - flanked with pots full of flowers - will lead you up on a terrace which is the access to both the house and a second larger terrace (through an external flight of steps) where you will find the swimming pool and the garden.

Villa Volare will enchant you for sure! You'll face only the blue of the sky and the sea, while both sides show the green coastal outline spotted with the typical white houses in Praiano.

The clean and lemon-scented air, the vivid colors under the Mediterranean sun, and the harmony and beauty surrounding you will make you happy for being alive and enjoying your vacation in such a great place…

This property is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the Amalfi Coast without the crowds in Positano. The villa is in the best location within walking distance to great restaurants, beaches and shops. It’s an easy drive to Positano, Amalfi or Ravello. Francesca made the check in process so smooth and easy and she had so many helpful recommendations and travel tips. The upstairs deck and pool area was nice enough that we didn’t have to leave the house to feel like we were at a 5-star resort.

Villa Volare was everything we’d all hoped for and more. We were a group of five adults, including me, my wife, our son and his wife, and our other adult child. We stayed seven nights, 6 June through 13 June, 2026. We used all three bedrooms so we each had privacy. Two bedrooms opened to small balconies with views to the sea. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was fine for our needs and plans—breakfast in house, quick lunches in or out, and dinner out in the evening. A fourth bathroom was just off the kitchen, same place where there was a washing machine. As with most Italian residences, there was no dryer—but there were clothespins and a drying rack. Our favorite spot in the villa was outside on the upper level. There we found a small pool, all sorts of patio chairs, and a sailcloth awning stretched over one set of chairs. We hung out up there every day. And, the view was astounding. We loved relaxing and watching the world go by! Another benefit of Villa Volare: It’s in Praiano. Not Positano, not Amalfi, both of which are way too crowded and touristy for us. Praiano had everything we needed, and we could go from there—a half-day boat trip, a day trip to Ravello, an in-house chef prepping dinner one night, a pasta-making lesson just a walk away, and more. Many great restaurants within walking distance—and remember those walks always include stairs and inclines! A great week of fun, activities, and relaxation. Would go back in a heartbeat. We booked with Summer in Italy because you managed the property we wanted! We found it using VRBO initially. You all were extremely helpful throughout the many months leading up to our trip, answering our questions. You helped us find Chef Balda for in-house dinner and you recommended Amalfi Coast Transfers—Mena took care of us all week.

Villa Volare was the perfect spot for our trip to the Amalfi Coast. We were 2 families, 8 people (4 adults, 4 kids) traveling together. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our travels. The Villa is very spacious allowing tons of space for rest, socializing, cooking, eating, etc. The pool and terrace was a 10! Beautiful, uninterrupted views of the coast and hills. The pool was welcoming, clean and a perfect respite. Whether we had a relaxing pool day or a day on the go with a dip in the pool in the evening, the terrace and pool accommodated our needs. Fruit trees and green space added a benefit for the little ones we traveled with. The location of villa was perfectly placed in town. A short walk to 2 markets and multiple exquisite restaurants! If stairs are tough for your group, Villa Volare could be a challenge. We did not have an issue with them, but someone who struggles with stairs should be aware. The owner/ property manager couldn’t have been more attentive or responsive! Some useful amenities are a lift for luggage, abundant ice machine, dining terrace separate from pool terrace, 4 full bathrooms, washing machine, plus many more. I would stay at Villa Volare year after year without hesitation!
