In a few minutes you can reach the most beautiful monuments of Palermo (, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Politeama, the Church of the Martorana, the Quattro Canti, the Royal Palace, the Cathedral), enjoy typical Sicilian cuisine and admire the windows of prestigious shops of the elegant Via Roma and Via Ruggero Settimo. Our apartment on the second floor (no elevator) of a building of the early 900 fully restored, is structured on two levels connected by an internal staircase and consists of 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room room with kitchenette and a terrace.

I had a wonderful time in Palermo ! Such nice place and great location. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The only things was the air conditioning that made quite some noise but unfortunately they let us know it would be fixed after our departure… I recommend and will comeback for sure on my next trip to Palermo

Amazing location literally above the Capo market which starts each day at 9:30. Very quiet at night. Surrounded by countless good restaurants. Huge apartment very well equipped. Keep windows closed at night however as mosquitoes are bad.

We only had one problem w our stay in Palermo @ Maurizio’s place - it was too short! The apartment is amazing! RIGHT in the middle of the Capo Market but you would never know it inside. It is VERY QUIET - and the bedroom dark so we slept beautifully - the bed is also extremely comfortable. Maurizio is a kind man and a great communicator - his restaurant recommendation (#1) on the list was a traditional and local dinner w a history worth knowing. The restaurant across the street became a favorite of ours w delicious fish and thoroughly welcoming owners and waiters. We felt immediately at home. Lastly, the apartment is centrally located - so easy to get to all the landmarks .. we HIGHLY recommend staying at this wonderful apartment.

Maurizio and his wife are very kind people. We're senior citizens and the steps to get to the apartment were more than we anticipated. Also, there is one room upstairs with a cooler. It only cools that one room. The cooling unit in the downstairs bedroom didn't work. Maurizio explained that we must empty the water from the cooler when it reaches a certain level. The trash must be removed daily after the fish market closes because you can't get to the outside trash bags until then. Be aware you're staying on a street that has a fish market directly outside of the apartment building. Once we were outside of the apartment, there were tables and chairs for people to eat right in front of the outside door. Perhaps Maurizio can ask that the table and chairs be pushed further back from the door.We left after two days because the combination of stairs and very limited cooling were uncomfortable for us. This may work for younger people. I can't recommend the property for older adults.
