In the heart of the green Ardèche in the valley of the Doux a Lamastre unique house in air-conditioned stone classified 3 stars, built in the exposed rock at the foot of the castle of Retourtour in a small picturesque hamlet entirely pedestrian very quiet, an unforgettable stay in this atypical accommodation ideal not to suffer from the high heat. Bike room, private parking with closed gate for motorbike. Shady lake at 100m from mid-June to mid-September, supervised swimming. On site: bar restaurants, 1.5 km away all shops, local market on Saturday morning and Tuesday morning large market (one of the largest in the region) super u, intermarket. The steam train (the mastrou) book in advance. La dolce via by bike. Visit from farm to farm, hiking, free concerts every Thursday evening in the town centre (high season) in the surrounding area: the rail bike of the Gorges du Doux (advance reservation required), Desaignes: village of character in the Ardèche, trout fishing la bâtie-d' Andaure, the mont gerbier des joncs (source of the Loire), the Mont Mézenc, the Ray-pic waterfall, Rochebonne. Restaurants recommended and the farm inn of the jameysse in Desaignes (3 km) only by reservation. La Guinguette at the bâtie d' Andaure. Not suitable for people with difficulty moving around or climbing stairs.
