Discover the rustic charm and tranquility of “Il Casale di John,” a magnificent stone residence located in Umbertide, in the heart of the Upper Tiber Valley, where the Umbrian and Tuscan hills meet in a landscape of incomparable beauty.

You’ll stay in a spacious 390-square-meter apartment on the first floor, accessible via a charming interior staircase made of original stone, which reflects the authenticity of the local rural architecture. Ideal for groups of up to 10 people, the apartment features a large kitchen and a comfortable living room. It has three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, in one wing, while the other two bedrooms and an additional bathroom are located in the second wing, offering well-distributed spaces and privacy for all guests. We will arrange the beds according to the number of confirmed guests. If you have specific preferences regarding the layout of the rooms or beds, please do not hesitate to let us know: we’ll be happy to accommodate you, though small additional fees may apply.
The farmhouse is set in a garden of about 5,000 square meters, where you can meet our wonderful dog, John, and discover a small guest house reserved exclusively for the owner’s use when he is in the area.

Its location is strategic: just 10 minutes from Città di Castello and 20 minutes from Perugia, this spot makes it easy to explore Umbria’s rich historical and cultural heritage. Gubbio, Assisi, and Cortona are just over 30 minutes away by car, making the farmhouse an ideal starting point for discovering the region’s wonders. Additionally, Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, the nearest airport, facilitates international travel.
