The apartment is located in a 16th-century building just outside the castle walls of Colle di Val d'Elsa (Colle Alta), a medieval town in Tuscany. It has been completely renovated, preserving some of its traditional features—such as the wooden beams—while incorporating a contemporary style that makes it both functional and welcoming for groups of friends or families. It is close to bars and restaurants. Street parking is available near the entrance for short stays, and free parking is available a few minutes’ walk from the apartment.
It’s located on the first floor, is very bright, and offers gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-concept kitchen with a dining area, and a living room with a sofa bed. It sleeps 8. A travel crib for babies can be requested.
It is located near many beautiful towns such as San Gimignano and Volterra, as well as art cities like Siena and Florence. Colle itself is very pretty, with some interesting museums such as the San Pietro Museum of Medieval Art and the Crystal Museum—since Colle is one of the world’s leading producers of crystal—and it has many artisan shops offering items such as handcrafted jewelry, leather bags, natural soaps and oils, and handmade woolen clothing, among others. It also boasts many famous restaurants, such as Arnolfo—which holds three Michelin stars—and Pasticeria Mario Barone, which, according to some of our guests, makes the best cakes in the world!
Colle Val d’Elsa is a great place to stay because it’s authentic, not too crowded with tourists, and close to many points of interest, no matter the season. It features natural, free thermal baths just 40 minutes away, as well as the SentierElsa—a beautiful riverside trail with waterfalls and turquoise water where you can swim. There are excellent sports facilities, such as an Olympic-size swimming pool with diving boards, tennis courts, and soccer fields available for rent, among others. Nearby, you’ll find wineries where you can enjoy wine testings—endless possibilities for everyone.
